Faction fit inty, once you cross the 8km/s barrier the guns can't track you.

Don't forget the Gistii A-type MWD. Faction MWDs aren't fast enough, you need the deadspace MWD. Faction overdrives and T2 polycarbons (T1 are the absolute minimum, obviously) are probably a good idea, just to be sure. Remember, that's 8km/s transversal, if your speed shows 8km/s, you're below 8km/s transversal at some points in your orbit.

As it's important to tank the sentry type, it's different in all spaces.

Of course, but your interceptor must be deadspace fit, and you must tell us the location so we can tell you how much speed you need.

Gogo broadsword. But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.

Of course! Minnie sentries have the best tracking, followed by gallente, then amarr, then caldari. You only need like 4k/s to best the caldari ones but to outtrack the minnie ones is a different challenge entirely. __________________________________

its a fact that morphite is lighter than space, so best to fill whatever cargo room you have left with that for a bit more speed.

There is no ultimate ship for that. Gateguns do roughly 200dps, if you can tank that, atleast for a while you should be fine. I personnaly dont like bs for solowork simply because of the slow locktime - the hyperion with its 5 meds is an exception since it can fit an sensor booster.

Gate guns do not have tracking issues. Any frig that tries to tackle anything within 150km of the gate guns (or something close to that) will get owned hard. ------------------------------------------

Low sec gate guns don't have tracking, they will insta pop an inty no matter how fast it is going if you are within 150km.
Best ship I think is the Onyx for it. Can easily tank the gate guns and tackle.

Phobos is the best ship for gate tackling. Yeah yeah ... the onyx and the broadsword have big passive tanks, but they need to use all their mids for it. To be a genuinely comprehensive gate-splatter, you want ideally 2 sensor boosters, and I know people who use three as well as their rig slots.

Depends on what your target is, for instance a buffertanked drake can last under the sentry gun fire for quite some time. But when the DPS from the sentru guns is stacked up with the DPS incoming from your prey then it can get nasty.
If you're in a BC you can only attack targets that are cruisers or smaller and that you can hit (you don't wanna get tackled by a ceptor on a gate that's shooting at you). Watch out for ships like thorax and vexor because they can prove to be too hard even for a BC.
If you're in a BS then you can usually attack BC's or smaller, but once again it depends on your ship type aswell as your target's.
Some good gate tacklers are imo HAM Drake, Sacri, Torp Raven, Mega, Hyperion and Domi.

Ive used Tempests and Hyperions for solo gate work before, you can fit a Sensor Booster and have a sustainable tank, kill BC and below with relative ease and stick around to scoop the loot.

If the goal is just to get one point long enough for something bigger to lock and take over can't get wrong with a buffer tanked AF.
A Vengeance can fit a point and 2 sensor boosters in mid, 400mm plate and resists in low and hold long enough something sturdier to get a lock (or can be remote repaired efficiently).
-- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |
