This is actually two questions, the first of which will most likely be answered by CCP and the second of which CCP or some more technically-wise players could answer. Both revolve around extracting the music files in the client (as the music download section is hardly complete; I am mostly interested in some of the tracks that start during missions, folloing acceleration gate activation).
1. Is it a violation of the EULA to attempt to extract music files fromt the EVE client? If it is, I will promptly cease all efforts to do so.
If you don't know the answer for certain, please don't post you 'suspicions' here - sorry if I'm sounding rude, but I really don't need a debate going on here.
2. Assuming it is not an EULA violation, how would I extract the music files and convert them to a standard playable format (WMA, MP3, WAV)?
Before someone yells "Search the forums, it's been asked before!", I have already searched, both using the forum's search bar and Chribba's EVE Search site. The results were all more than a year old, and referenced the use of an EVE fan site which no longer seems to exist.
Thanks for your help!
P.S.: If I posted this in the wrong area, sorry! ----------------------------------------------

Hi,
I know you don't want "suspicions" posted so all I'm going to do is point to the CD on sale in the shop of the original assortment of tracks and post a copy of the 4th paragraph (Specific Restrictions) of secition 10 C of the EVE Online EULA.
Originally by: CCP EULA You may not copy, distribute, rent, lease, loan, modify or create derivative works of, adapt, translate, perform, display, sublicense or transfer any information accessible through the System, including without limitation, any part of the Game Content or User Content, or any item, object or character in your Account, except that, solely to the extent permitted by the System, you may modify certain Game Content and User Content only for your own purposes in playing the Game.
... and let you draw your own conclusions. Alternatively you could track down the CCP Moderation email address and send them an email directly if you want to avoid responses in a public forum ...
I'm sure I've seen MP3 files of in-game music somewhere before. Consequently, I'm also sure my old notebook had "Below the Asteroids" and "Nouvelle Rouvenor Hero" on a play list before cruel fate (and an electrical storm) took it from me. Anyone have a link to where those might be these days?

This might not be the answer, but there have been many exports using the TriExporter, and those links posted here on the forum. CCP (afaik) has never modified those posts/links so I then can only assume that extracting the sound files is ok.
And I do know that this is not the answer you was looking for since it violates your "please do not post if you don't know"-request. But from what I've seen over the years there has never been any complaint from CCP about extracting said files.

Triexporter is really meant for model extraction.
You can use this also to unstuff any files.
Someone link the following I have a secuirty feature turned on that stops the link box.

Don't know if the deadspace tunes are on there.
Themes tend not to be posted up either.
Saves downloading them if they're already on your machine. /start sig I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game four years' when I know their account has been sold on. /end sig |
