Lets all remember the brave souls who attacked the beaches of Normandy on a cold summermorning, this day 60 years ago.
Without them alot would have been different in the world today. So Say I. Einheriar Ulrich of the Bloodline of Einheriar.

I believe that when asked why they fought these men and women say they fought for their comrades standing next to them whatever side they were on.
War is unplesant nobody would say otherwise, however tyranny must be overcome and my freedom is owed to those brave souls who fought and died for their buddies I thank them all. |

I salute the brave Allied soldiers who did their part to defeat the ****s. D-Day was the first step in doing so. ------------- My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants. I <3 ( . Y . ) |

I salute those, who fought for what they beleived is right.
Dedication, no matter towards what goal, deserves respect.
That I am grateful that WW2 ended the way it did, is another matter.
But the loss of lives is tragic, no matter what.

60 years ago... thats a long time. A lot has happened since then, and Europe has become one of the most stable regions in the world.
Instead of just remembering the dead and saluting their bravery in dying for what they believed in, the leaders of our nations should be using this as an opportunity to unite once again and sort out the many countries around the world who are still embroiled in fighting.
But hey, theres no oil in Africa, so their wars don't count...

I was going to put some passive aggressive comment on current wars in here, but how about I just settle for a vote for Kerry. My Grandpa was in ww2 I'm proud of him, he's a good guy.
I think mankinds war potential is getting too large for earth, discuss....

I honour those brave souls who fought for us on this day but it's a shame the lessons of those days have not been heeded.
