It always makes me laugh when i'm ratting and i see a couple of players bc wrecks with T1 loot in it. Noobs think they have a strong ship flying a bc, when they lose it in low sec they are discouraged because they lost more than they could afford.

A lesson I tell every noob that ever asks for advice when I'm on my npc corp hauler alt... but nobody ever wants to hear 'don't fly something you can't replace or fully insure'. They absolutely, positively MUST fly that Rokh the INSTANT they train Caldari BS to 3 and mine up enough ISK with their Osprey in highsec to buy the ship... nevermind that it's fitted with beam lasers and rocket launchers - they have a battleship!!!!! I wish it was more like Elite where you're actually intercepted during your warp so it'd actually take some skill. These lone carebears with a sense of adventure might be a bit more compelled to go there if they had a slim chance of survival. At the moment I'm like a tiny mouse in EvE. I leave my hole and then 12 invisible cats suddendly pounce on me; why should I go to lowsec again? Pirates who moan about carebears hiding in highsec and all the while they're gate camping, are such hypocrites tbh.

Pirates who moan about carebears hiding in highsec and all the while they're gate camping, are such hypocrites tbh. most low sec and 0.0 inhabitants fly something more agile than a bs and if they are in a bs they are in a gang not out solo - you also either need a second account or a friend to scout for you you cannot just leisurely do whatever you want there and teamwork counts - that's why people move over as corporations or alliances so with collective effort you reap more benefits including more excitement while playing

Up to this point, my post has been as useful as your post. So... I will provide a few useful tidbits of advice. a) If you plan to remain a neighborhood for a few days, talk to folks in local. You'll learn about which corps to trust in short order. b) Determine if there are any intel channels available for the region and contribute to the channel by reporting any pirate activity. c) Run a few level 1 encounter missions and create a few safe spots that are greater than 5 au from any celestial object (preferably greater than 20 au to keep you beyond the Snoop's range). Then, cycle through your safe spots when a hostile or bogie enters the system. Voila! A useful post! ----------- Cleaning up the garbage in null sec, one belt at a time...

I was running a mission with a corpmate (in highsec) and two ninja-salvagers warped in. My computer started lagging so badly I almost gave up altogether. Now, what makes people think I'll make like a lemming and head for lowsec under any of their proposals? I want to PvP. I don't have the computer for it. Fact. People need to understand that there is an element of the playerbase that will evaporate altogether if their half-baked ideas for forcing that portion of the playerbase into lowsec are implemented. And a portion of that portion are people such as myself who can't even though they want to go there. So don't give me some BS about "not being true to the game."
