When I last played EvE a little over a year ago there was a ship fit program that was more flexible than EFT and offered the nice feature of doing module searches by slot. EFT looks nicer but I find it clumsier to use when looking for good alternatives for free slots. Does the program I'm talking about sound familiar? I suspect it might no longer be out there since EFT is the only tool I see mentioned on the forums.

Quickfit died, unfortunately. There are some up and coming fitting programs that are open source, though. If they take much longer to put out, I'm going to start on a UI for mine. ;-)

Ah, ok. Yes, I found that program very helpful and easier to navigate than EFT. But if it's gone than EFT it is!
Thanks for the info -----------------

Actually I also find it easier to navigate. The way EFT uses to show the attributes of the modules is nearly useless. Besides I cannot use EFT at all on my mac. Therefore QuickFit Multi is what I still use.

Actually, this is one of the big reasons that I'm thinking of open sourcing my latest efforts into a fitting tool. All of the open source fitting mods I've seen have been .NET based and simply don't work on my Linux boxes.
Of course, I rather lack a UI... so I'm not doing much better. ;-)

Quickfit also had one very usful feature that I cannot find else where and that was the Log Analyzer.
Drag and drop your combat logs into this and it gave you a precise break down of who did what damage to whom/by whom.
If anyone knows of another log analyzer out there, please linky in.

Hmmm, I still use Quickfit for that. I wasn't aware there wasn't another one. I'll write you one for 100M ISK. :p
