how about a skill, to knock mods offline, or specific mods, to knock other specific mods offline, with a viarety of skills for effectiveness?
make these arrogant PVP ppl a bit more nervous that their beautiful ship setup, important mods can be knocked off line in battle
sure i will get slated, but just an idea

meant more of like an anti web mod, anti scram mod, etc
although be a nightmare for someone who has trained say remote damps has them fitted and in pvp to get put into offline mode by enemy in middle of fight

indeed. Most modules have a counter-acting module already, either limiting or completely removing their effects (ECM / ECCM / etc). the effects of these "things go off now" modules would be redundant, for the most part.

Ohno im scrambled and gonna die... wait! ill just knock his scrambler offline and warp off. Yay, that guy sucks at pvp haha, oke, back to mining.
Getting some good PvP is hard and timeconsuming, please don't ask for a feature that's gonna make it even worse :P

In all seriousness, a very interesting idea, that would probably fall under EW. However, if introduced to the game in its current form it would be seriously broken.
If at some point in the future, CCP does a ground up re-vamp of EW and all its aspects, THEN would be the time to add something like this.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

CCP have talked about this in the past, but at that point it was ideas about being able to target modules and shoot at them to disable them rather than breaching the hull. I think we're years from that though.
