Hmmm. Just upgraded from nVidia Quadro 4500 to a Matrox G450MMP 4 head card.
Every program and game I have works great, except EvE.
I get the splash screen, splash screen goes away, no EvE.
No errors, no warnings, no nuthin.
DXDIAG reports no issues whatsoever, all vid and graphics tests run flawlessly.
Anyone else ever have this happen, and if so, what was the fix?
Thanks in advance.........
( and yes, I did a "search" 9 ways to sunday and found nothing relevant )

Ok, just tried that. Manual delete. Verified proper directory.
Still no Joy. Cache dir recreated when I tried to start EvE, but remained empty, and EvE did not launch.

Tried reinstalling EVE? Never had the same problem with a new graphics card... But it might be worth a shot

Run EVE in Safe Mode and bit by bit, increase/decrease the graphics settings.
for ex; classic graphics, shadow levels, HDR, resolution, colour depth, windowed mode, full screen, etc.
something is not allowing the EVE client to run the graphics, as everything past the splash screen is EVE graphics.
I could not run shadows recently whilst using a modified nHancer graphics settings due to the shadow levels not allowing the client to boot when using the 'extreme' setting. My fix was the above, plus turning off all shadow settings.

You have done a full and complete registry clean out of your Nvidia profiles haven't you?

Aye. Not a hint of nVidia anything in there.

I know this sounds dumb, but does it have texture and lighting? _______________________________________________ RuntimeError: ChainEvent is blocking by design, but you're block trapped. You have'll have to find some alternative means to do Your Thing, dude. |

Mate, thanks for the tip, but I've completely scrubbed everything CCP off the machine. dirs, sub dirs, reg entries and all, and done a wholesale re-install and still no joy.

Thanks for all the suggestions, folks, but I have found the problem. This, from Matrox support:
The G450x4MMS is not a DX 9 compatible card. It is DX 8.0 compatible card and this is probably the cause of your problems. Regards,
Trpimir MGI Technical Support Representative Matrox Graphics Inc.
So, this vid card is a waste of time. Learn from my fail, folks.
