Amidst constant stress of wars, I hereby announce the opening of
" The Militia Pub "
It is what it says, a PUB built as a NEUTRAL GROUND for soldiers, friends and foes to take a break, have a drink, watch the dancers, boost their egos, create political gossips, and whatever else.
Soldiers of the 4 Factions, Friends and Foes involved, be welcomed

Disgusting.
Where I'm from, pilot, you generally have to accept a wager before you're involved and can claim victory. You didn't. Furthermore, events that happened prior to the declaration of the bet are NOT valid grounds for claiming victory. I shouldn't have to spell this crap out for you.
I'm retracting the wager. Your shameful greed has entirely turned me off the idea of offering further bets in this summit. -

Yes, yes, yes, I went off on a moralistic rant again, I'm aware... I have a tendency to do that, you know.
Good grief, the way some people react to me you'd think I'm the only person in the whole cluster who sets any stock by being principled...

My experience of this bar has been plesant. While we discuss politics nobody tries to get on a soap-box about it. While the patrons hardly are in unity about their political views that doesn't mean we can't come into harmony about anything. ----------------------------- -Lt. Augustus "Gus" Caesar Naturally my views are my own as I'm not my alliance's spokesman, ect.

That is indeed a shame Stitcher. What will you do if ever there is someone you just might enjoy having a good honest real bet with?
And yeah, you did kind of go on a moral clarification about this, but you know... it was, and still is, kind of needed. Few people care about moral integrity these days, and those few are far between.
I might hop into said channel tomorrow. right now I'm tired, I've spent the night exterminating warships of the hated Serpentis drug cartel, who operated in Heimatar.
Sleep well people. I might see you in that channel later.

Do it privately, I reckon, where people can't pounce on the slightest glimmer of free kredits.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 26/08/2008 15:27:44 A crash from outside. Some shouting, swearing and a wave of dark smoke was entering the pub. Outside in the hangar docked was an old, rusty Breacher, whose old trusters seam to be decalibrated and that draw a large trail of smoke behind them when it flies. Out of the smoke stumbled a sooty girl with red hair, some brass salvage-goggles on her forehead and with a leatherbag of tools at her side as well as a hastily cobbled together thing that is looking like a pathetic blaster at her side. Halve in leather have in overall with wide sleeves that let indiscret looks vaguely assume that there's something naked below. She was wiping some sooth from her cheeks only to prove that her sleeves are now smeared with black smearing grease. She was looking around, turning to the bar and hammering with her flat hand on the bar and ordering an Autocannon, with a lot of fire in it and a small dice of lemon please.
After waiting for a moment and looking around she decided to walk over to some seats that are yet free not daring to disturb some of the really tough looking capsuleers around that she assumes are talking about mugging, cheating, fatherstabbing, mothermugging and all sort of bizz this kind of people talk in these kind of bars.
After sitting down she makes shure her hidden vibroknife can be drawn fast if it is getting hot and that she could make it to the door alive. Then she nipped carefully at the much too expensive drink and was watching the people in the bar.
Her fuzzy hair was sometimes falling down in a strain and tipping in her drink.

I am disgusted by the proprietor of this "business". After a brief stay in the pub, I had to pull myself away from the "Neutral" grounds due to a disgust created by Mr. SOF himself.
Aside from the bigotry and racist/demeaning remarks he made towards one of his own patrons, the drinks were sub-par. Politics does not require you to call people "gay", "barbarians", or "primitive". However, I could expect no more from a sheepish Caldari.
You won't be seeing me stepping foot in that Caldari trash-heap again.

I'm not claiming to be some moral goody-two-shoes. I may be a bit racist, but atleast I have a sense of respect. I kept these words to myself while present in the "neutral grounds" where I had figured the own barkeep would uphold some level of respect. Now that I have left his establishment, I feel free to voice my opinion on his business ethics. Due to his own lack of respect, he has lost mine, that's all I'm saying.

Well hell... Only qualms I've got is the fact that my Gunner's Heaven didn't get this much business or attention... Well, if you count the pirate gang that tried to cause some trouble awhile back, I guess I DID have some attention.
Still, it's been pretty quiet since I've visited, perhaps it's just the time of day I chose?

An enjoyable establishment, not in the least due to the gracious host. Perhaps lacking in some decorum due to all the barbarian trash that sometimes wander in, although it is understandable due to the the fact it is neutral ground. |

Edited by: Piaras Starshadow on 27/08/2008 04:57:21 Alright, I take it back. Had my first and last run in with the kind of ignorance this kind of place breeds. Rather sad when a place that's supposed to be about 'neutral discussion' turns into a soapbox shout-match where the bartender and his Amarrian master decide that the only opinions that matter are their own.
I'm just sorry that I actually wasted my time with a place like this.

With a bang the door opens and some scarred and wild looking Amarrians entered the bar. Like a drop of poisonous honey they dropped through the door, every one a determined look on their face, some of them with bats some with chains rattling in their hands, one with a rope and some with mean looking firearms. All in black all with a white cross wearing around their neck.
After ten of those slowly entered the bar, they were looking around as if to search for someone. +Step aside, slave˝, one of them addresses Eran without really giving him any more notice than a mangily streetdog that usually is kicked aside.
As they bullied in the bar one of them nods meaningful in the direction Alica was sitting, after short whispering and sticking their heads together, they meandered to the barman, ordered: +Some real Amarrian beer not that piss you serve the slaves for me and my man.˝
During this Alica was slipping uneasy on her seat and trying to make herself invisible which she did not do so well. It seems she those Amarrian Militants had some bizz with her, cause they slowly splitted and occupated the doors.

Always a pleasure to receive guests of such cultural background as our allies from the Amarr Empire Zarkahesh. The lack of decorum, inevitable, as we can expect from the less civilized kind that eventually will find their way there but as you can see, the ambient itself will sort these small issues in no time.
It's a military pub after all and I hope that the levels of debate will continue to be strong and not for the faint of hearts.
I salute you, soldier and looking forward to our next share of drinks there.

When it gets handed he swallows it down in one gulp and orders another one, takes it and heads to a far off corner and just sits there nipping the second whiskey while watching the rest of the people inside asif he's waiting for something.

That... doesn't actually answer my question.
This here? This is a discussion board topic about a bar. You want to go walk into the bar, sit down, drink some whiskies and look all brooding and serious, you go ahead. I'm just curious as to why you feel the need to describe your actions in detail here on a forum when you'd look far more sa-... uhm... a little less unusual if you actually went and did it for real.
((OOC: in case you're wondering, I think the in-character consensus is that the IGS is actually an exclusive discussion board frequented only by pilots. Just like the real thing, except it's on GalNet, which is basically the internet but bigger, and with the option of posting video or audio rather than text if you so wish.)) -

OOC: Whereas some people feel the need to barge in and just spit out what they want to say some people want to saviour the enviroment before slowly dipping in. If my way of roleplaying doesn't suit you then so be it, your not forced to interact with me in any way. However by pressing your style of RP onto other players does make the RP kinda narrow and shallow.
So please respect the fact that some people have another style of RP then you and then they might start to respect your style aswell.
Thank you for adressing your concerns, they are duly noted and examined.
Now let's please get back to the RP as intended in this bar.
Kind regards,

Slyly the scrumpy looking Caldari looks around till he spots a Caldari female who looks rather hot. He stares at her figure and starts to dream what he could all do with her.
He then looks down at his whiskey, sips more at it and decides to put it on the table.
Slowly he reaches for his wallet to see howmuch ISK he has credited in it and decides it's not enough to make her swarm for him yet.
