Just a few questions about Capitals:
Can a Carrier or Dread cyno out if it has been targeted and locked? Can a Carrier or Dread cyno out if it is being fired upon? Can a Carrier or Dread cyno out if it has an aggression timer on it? Can a Carrier or Dread cyno out if it has been bubbled? Can a Carrier or Dread cyno out if its being bumped off station? Can a Carrier or Dread cyno out if webbed by a POS or ship?
Thanks to all who chime in on this

Wrong!
If you are in a carrier/dread without jump drive ops at LEAST at 1, then... well, ask for a promotion. If its not at 5, then dont bother. 72% cap is the number you are really looking for... You want to come out of siege mode at this number, with a cyno deployed for you to jump to at the end.

72% cap I believe is the right number or close to it.
other then that jumping is like warping with no alignment neccesary, if you are warp jammed in any way you aint going anywhere if you stab yourself up and dont have bubbles on you though you could get out assuming they dont have like 6 or 7 scrams on you

95% is bog standard if you have no skills... level 1 is REQUIRED... >.> 5% per level, so maximum you are looking at 90%(point something) cap to jump.

I wouldn't even pull the ship out of the hangar until you're at least JDO 3.
Either that, or put a proper travel fit on it (PDUs in the lows, Cap Rechargers in the mids, and so on).
Even when I do a logistics fit with cargo expander IIs, three Cap Recharger IIs in the mids make a world of difference in downtime between hops. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

Many FCs require Jump Drive Calibration IV before they'll even let you join the fleet. That means Jump Drive Operation to V for minimal cap usage and near-maximum jump range tnanks to JDC IV. It just makes travelling so much less of a headache. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

And that statement I believe is your major failing, I see you post a lot here on different ships but I suspect you have flown very few of them, and when I say flown I dont just mean on a tour of Jita or somewhere safe.
Im not goint to bother listeneing to your posts from now on as it seems you just type stuff in EFT and see what comes out.

Im pretty sure most alliances wont even consider you a cap pilot until JDO is at 5 and you're at least 3 deep into JD Calibration. That's how Im approaching it at least. You have to be able to go where everyone else can go...and you DONT want to be stuck in the middle of an enemy region, unable to take the cyno everyone is taking because you're short on the range. ----------------- Friends Forever |

This.
Plus it's easier to sell you carrier alt once you realise carriers are boring and SUCK.
