The subject line says it all. I know (or at least, I think I know) they aren't made from BP's, which leaves just loot drops. What drops them? Rats? Convoys? If convoys, which have the best odds of getting harvester drops, convoys out of mining corp stations?

ive been led to belive they are a tech 2 research item, so you need a special BP for them. not totaly sure myself though.

convoys used to drop them in bulk but they are no longer in the loot table from what i hear so the only way to get them is to buy them @ 2mil a pop from trade channel (2mil seems to be the current price on trade channel)
just keep watching wouldnt suprise me if some one popped in and went i got some wanna buy???

So, they used to be convoy drops, but no longer drop anywhere at all? No new supplies? No wonder the price keeps rising.

To answer the original question, no they are not dropped anymore and cannot be produced.
However, there is currently 2 rumors floating around.
DISCLAIMER: THESE ARE RUMORS HEARD ELSEWHERE, AND CANNOT BE AUTHENTICATED
1. Harversters stopped dropping, because they wanted them completly gone, and this will remain.
2. Iether a BPO will be produced for Shiva, OR you will be able to rewerse engineer it.
Take those rumors as you want, I cannot authenticate them.

Another rumor is that they've started dropping from convoys again...
There are people out there making lots of money from selling harvesters, and those people would of course very much like to spread the word that harvesters are in short supply and that there's no point in going looking for them...
I'd say: Equip a cargo scanner and go scan some convoys. Even if you don't find harvesters, you might find some other interesting things. |
