Hello,
Capital and super capital ships are getting in the way of people wanting to test other types of ships. Whenever you warp to a Combat Site there is a good chance there is going to be a capital or super capital in there. This interferes with the testing of individuals who do not wish to test being one shot by a MOROS or a REVELATION. These people are genuinely interested in trying other types of ships and new features That come with the expansions.
I Suggest putting up an acceleration gates to the different CA's that only permits a specified ship type. For example: Frigate hulls, Cruiser Hulls And below, Battlecruiser Hulls and below, Battleships hulls and below.
Anybody that attacks another player at these acceleration gates gets Banned.
This will ensure that players are able to test what they wish to test freely without having to worry about The Titan warping to different CA's or the moros that jumps in a fight to 1 shot things.
People should be entitled to fair testing areas
Please CCP, Make it so that we can test in peace |

It used to be like that. I don't know why they changed it. |

The previous system had "guidelines" for ship classes. People ignored them and others bitched about it so it got changed to the current system.
Having acceleration gates is unneeded work on CCP's part and PvP in Eve is never fair. Current conditions are a close to TQ as they'll get, so deal with it or get friends and move to a different system |

Yes and no. You will never c a lone dread shooting stuff, people will kill it. The same is for TITANS they are only deployed, or mostly deployed in large fleets. That comment was flawed. Right now testing of different ships and they modifications is mostly affected by supers. |

you know Ghazbaran has a good point. CCP should put in acceleration gates to prevent Cap/super cap from coming in. |

The combat areas are just easy meeting points. There is nothing stopping you from fighting at planets, belts, the sun, random spots in the middle of space. What capitals and larger are doing just now is not against the rules. You also don't need to stay in 6-C to try out new features that come with expansions! CCP Goliath | QA Team Lead |

Personally I think that Titans doing what they are doing in the CA's is an accurate simulation of some of the asshatery that goes on TQ... Try making some safe spots, or beyond that just don't warp to the CA's at zero, Accel gates would make things needlessly complicated imo.
Edit: SiSi does needs to have faction ammo and ships seeded, these are thing that people use on TQ and it baffles me as to why they are not being seeded currently. A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go |

Why is it that every time a customer say something is broken developers say it's as designed ergo it will not be looked at is missing the point, it's not that simple
CCPs is providing a game, the testing server is just for testing and that's all good and dandy but if CCP want the capsulers to help out testing there have to be an incentive to do so. The effort CCP made in making the CA spots in 6-CZ49 and 2M SP per masstest is that incentive. If the player base that do the testing does not feel it's worth the effort to join in testing there will not be any more masstest in it's current form, capsulers need to be able to enjoy being in 6-CZ49 and enjoy the use of the masstest SP. I attend most masstests (when I'm not on business trips) and spend allot of time having fun on SISI, I would like to in the future as well but might not
There is a point to so many asking for some restrictions to usage of super caps on a test system where the mechanics of handling super caps is not reflected from real server. The user base percentage of super caps per total players is A LOT higher in test server and there is no way of handling them with so few player on server. Magnify the problem with titan blobbling on TQ a 100 times and you have the current situation on SISI. As CJ pointed out many times in the last week TRIXI did greef some with there super cap blob but now it's totally out of hand
Take a look at what is happening on SISI during EU play time and you get the picture why so many now want some changes http://test.true-sansha.com/?a=hom
Removing super caps from 6-CZ49 all the time isn't the solution either because in some patches there are things that really do need testing on the game mechanics related to super capitals. There need to be a easy way for the CCP devs to manage the existence of super capitals in 6-CZ49 so that they can be there when it's needed for testing
My sound advice to my fellow capsulers is simple, don't attend masstests if you don't like the testing environment CCP is providing for you. CCP have over and over stated that they don't want to change it so then it's only up to us to make it happen

Yes Combat areas are easy meeting points but, the problem is that they are only easy if they are accessible. Creating safe spots and using them for "controlled fleet Fights" is just unrealistic in a place where you might know one or two people and most encounters are on a random basis. I do not mind Titan's; I mind that there are a lot of them. Even if we did a Capital Fleet to kill one numbers are not on our side. The presence of titans in CA's is an unrealistic fact that would never happen in Tranquility simply because they are too afraid of being "BLOBED".
All i ask is at least one acceleration gate for those who really want to test in a randomized fleet scenario where you never know if the odds are in your favor or not without a titan interfering cause we all know no titan is gonna do anything in TQ unless it has heavy backup.

I have to say this is idealized.
The combat arenas allow for randomness and unpredictability.
When that ceases to be random and unpredictable because there's titans and supercarriers in there all the time... Well ya. Not so useful anymore. And unless you're going in with 20-30 people already there, it discourages the casual "tester" from going in and helping you gents out.

Couple of things here:
1) Singularity is a testing server FOR CCP. players are able to log onto it and assist with CCPs testing. It isn't a test server for players, but CCP has seeded items on the market for players to do their own testing when they are not testing.
2) CCP does not want to pay someone to sit in local and ban people breaking the rules. That person could be doing a lot of other work that is more important.
Sorry but that is the way it is. We just have to deal with it. The Apostle : I want a kangeroo Captain Kirk : Silly Austrians Sarmatiko : Let me guess: you're from US? Captain Kirk : Yeah Riverside IA - why? |

1) CCP have been asking capsulers to join in there tests for years (masstests), imagine the cost for CCP if they where to employ testers to do the testing instead at the same level of testing (testers are really expensive, not like it was only 3 years ago). SISI is NOT CCPs own test server where they do there own testing, they have Durality for that. SISI is the test server where CCP ask players to help in event testing (masstests and other events) as well as regular testing of there own.
2) Who ever said anything about employing someone to police any set of rules. That's just daft if I may say so. Implement the rules in the DB by triggers and functions with a parameter in each patch indicating if testing of supercaps is wanted of CCP in the patch. This flag can be changed at any time by CCP developers. I did layout an example of such a setup in another thread before. It can even be implemented as a trigger aka "the hand of god" that cancel the players initiated actions if a super cap that say are in a certain area of space and take offensive action against a subcap but this is taking it to the extremes. ANY rules can be coded in to the DB with not to much work, putting it in the DB makes it easy to manage in each new mirror as well and mostly the code can be kept out of the code for the release altogether.
It's only us the players that can influence CCP in what we want to help them in testing and that is to speak our mind or in other ways show that we are not happy with the current testing environment.
