At fanfest we talked yesterday about the need for name and shame for accounts and characters caught doing RMT so that CEO's, Directors, and people with HR roles can audit and know that the person attempting to get into their corp is an RMTer.
When I brought this up, I said start the thread.. but it looks like everybody assumed someday else would do it. So I am.

While I understand this idea, I have to disagree.
An account/character is not the same as a person. And those same people being dishonest about their gaming are going to be the same people exploiting this fact.
EDIT: If you were to come up with such a system, how would you implement it in such a way that was fair? Occasionally plays sober. |

Not a bad idea, I've kept a list of toons/corps and in a couple of cases whole alliances who just run fleets of bots 23/7. Reported them all, alas I still see them in their Tengus ratting all day when I'm in the area. Naming and shaming is a step in the right direction. Damn nature, you scary! |

CCP blocks RMTers from moving characters to different accounts after their first strike (also said in the security talk I am mentioning this all from). There is no way a person can follow the rules and get a RMT character "by mistake" as an account and a character are then effectively the same thing once that happens. |

Im pretty sure that RMTers get permaband on first strike. Its botters that are caught can who can no longer move chars between accounts. |

Definitely do this for botters. This would hugely cut down the number of botters. There are quite a few botters who cannot help but brag about how they bot to earn isk for plex/ships/etc, some high profile people too.
I think CCP fear that players will ruthlessly hunt down these known botters and wreck them. I think that will happen and I'm perfectly fine with that. |
