Is it me, or when i kill a cruiser npc and it drops 10 defenders i feel slightly cheated, the drop lv's of npcs need to be sorted out, hopefully in the next patch My main problem is with the nerfing of the scorp in npc combat, the scorp is the most powerful electronic warfare platform in the game and can jam pretty much anything in space if set up right, but even with all 8 slots filled with jammers, you cant jam a npc even a little npc like a blood follower. Is this right ,is this fair , and can we accuss npc's of exploits cuase that is surly what it is.
The game would be much more realistic if your could jam npcs and much fairer on us scorp owners, sort it out ccp, it only requires you to add sensor strenghts to a npc.

Yeah the NPC drops suck bad . the really need to upgrade those tables. It's sucks to get basic items from npc battleships.

NPCs cheat, and tbh they would be a poor challenge if they did'nt. Got both the 10 defender missile¦but also the occational 4-5 mil gun or launcher. Think it's done by a chance, so there are good days and bad days. Plain and simple. Doubt you can even blame chaining for your bad drops.

howdy Ta'krite..
I see where you are coming from.. all the cruiser I kill seem to drop rubbish - a medium armour repairer is lucky...
Then you check the cargo of a Frigate rat and find a Lif Booster which sells for 2m on escrow.. I wish I could fit one of those BS AB's onto my vigil!
Maybe it should be a bit less random and a bit more down to the size of the rat you are killing.

Loot droppings should be done based upon toughness factor. If you have a big ship, you get small loot. And some special items would be nice, kill a NPC BS with industrial to get one =) SigPl/HQ&Log Coy/MNB(C)/KFOR |

I've jammed cruiser's before. They stop firing and either retreat or just go dormant.

Edited by: Rod Blaine on 07/06/2004 13:55:22 NPC's are very much jammable. It's actually used widely in chaining, you only need to jam 15 sensor strenght of EVERY type. So, 4 multi's will jam em.
Anyway, the lootdrops suck a bit yes, but if they wouldn't cruiser and BS chaining would be even more rewarding.
Including loot I earned about 40 million yesterday killing NPC BS and cruisers on my own. This w3as an extremely good day, but it shows the profit isnt in the frequent drops but in the rare ones.
I would like to see this improved marginally, but from the crap drops I have, over the past month, gathered enough minerals to build me a tier 2 BS by now. So they arent entirely wortheless after all. In short: soemwhat increase the logic behind the drops, decrease number of dropped items and increase quaqlity of dropped items...
That should do fine fow now. And I dont even hunt fulltime. _______________________________________________

Edited by: Luc Boye on 07/06/2004 14:04:29 Id rather see that NPC's dont drop loot as often, but when they do, its cool stuff. Would save on lag and time. --

Hm im wondering now!!! Cuz in BS hunts in 0.0 i was able to jam them! You ever tried in 0.0 jamming a Dominix? That worx fine. Some time ago when we were able to chain BSs after the 5th ship i cant jam anymore. I dunno if it was some kind of AI...
You should get your ass up and move deeper in space for cool items... And think about "NO RISK NO ISK"...
