I want to use my Cerberus as a long range missile spamming cruiser.
What skills do I need to train to achieve this?
I can see long range targeting as an obvious skill but I've heard the Cerb can achieve very long ranges. Can you tell me how this is done?-I think it cant just be skills alone. |

Need Long Range targeting to at least IV to make this worth your while.

And that concludes the huge list of 6 skills that actually matter.
Of course, you might want to include Info Warfare spec and mindlink for a gang member, leadership too, or maybe also sig analysis, but that's just overkill... you might as well mention AWU and whatnot at this point.

Hydraulic Bay Thruster Vs Bay Loading Accelerator
My Eve fit tool description tells me that the Bay Thruster gives 15% velocity & 100% rate of fire bonus where the bay loading accelerator only gives 10% velocity increase.
Why the massive difference or is my Eve fit description wrong or is there some other catch which I've not seen like the better one costs a shed load more?

Completely wrong. While I have no documentation to confirm what I say while at work I am pretty sure the information is as follows:
Hyrdaulic Bay Thruster gives you 15% increase to missile velocity. Bay Loading I believe gives you a 10% increase to RoF.
edit just to correct item name.

It's an *1 RoF bonus (i.e. NO CHANGE).

Actually, he was correct in what he said. In evemon the HBT say they have a 100% Rate of Fire Bonus. And the BLA says it gives a 10% Rate of Fire Bonus. So obviously a typo in Evemon, but not many people look at item information in that program, or at least I don't and that's all that matters to me. :)

Not really, seeing as with the right missile skills you should be able to spam heavy missiles from a distance of about 180-200km and they ought to reach their target within aproximately 10-20 seconds, and unless you wanna solo pvp in this ship, you should have some tackler stuff spinning around your target keeping him from warping off :) |
