Hey
I am Limpchimp, creator of Evolution Technologies.
and a proud member of the EVO multigaming clan.
I am not here to **** people off, we are all in this for the fun whether that be Pirate, Miner or Developer. I have no intention of stopping a natural talent.
Evolution Tech was created in the hope that people can join a Corp and do as they feel, we will mine but never strip mine. We will constantly move from belt to belt in the hope that we will never deplete the resources and leave plenty for others.
If you want to mine you can, if you want to fight NPC you can. If you want a role in R&D you can have one.
We have currently only 2 members, me and Rhinoboy, a fellow EVO member. This means that we have many High level places open for anyone who thinks they have what it takes.
curently we are situated @ Piekura VIII - Moon 8 - Spaceline assembly plant.
all we ask is a weekly subscription from each member of 50,000isk. Anything else you earn is yours to keep. If we run a major mining operation and you find yoursleves with tonnes spare. It is up to you what you do with it. You can store it and build a ship or you can sell it on. We will not ask a penny of the sale.
on completion of an application every new member will receive shares in the corp. You will receive 10 shares each, again these are yours to do as you please, this also gives every member the right to vote and make decisions within the Corp.
On a Serious note, we will not help you kill someone cos they ****ed you off, as we only run between 0.5 to 1.0 systems any issues you get into in that respect are your own, Evo will not replace your ship or lost equipment if you are stoopid enough to open fire on someone more powerful than you. However if you are on the receiving end of some idiot and end up loosing it all, we will provide an amount towards the lost items you had. If these are already stored in the Corp hanger we will allow usage of these items while you are a member.

come to Piekura, Join up, have a laugh, Join not only the Corp but the EVO clan as well.
www.EVOclan.net (applicants who join the clan instantly receive 10,000ISK as an incentive, this does not apply to the Corp only. You must join both to receive this incentive).

While I understand that you're a member of a gaming community, and thus the name of your corp might be unavoidable....
Your corp name and corp ticker is very similer to one of the largest & notorious PVP corps in the game Evolution [EVOL].
Because of this, you're bound to be flamed in and out of game, and there are bound to be misunderstandings that result in lost ships were you ever to venture out of empire space.
Just a heads up in case this was new info. Good luck!

Evolution Technologies is not.
If this had simply been named Evolution I would see your problem, as this is the case I see no reason to change the corp name.
It is always likely that names will clash in such a big world and unfortunately this is unavoidable.

Limpchimp, no offense, but you do not want to stick with this corp name in EVE.
As another reader said, we're one of the biggest PvP corps in EVE. We have more enemies then you can dream of, and you will be the target by tons of ppl just by mistake.
You will alse be targeted by us full force if you try and stick with this name.
Evolution is taken.

Your call. I was just passing the info along because I don't think you understand the extent of which this particular name similarity will impact your corp in the future.
Be prepared for likely war declarations, random gankings, and hostile attitudes from many people in game.
Not to mention most likely making an enemy of EVOL at a critical time in the formation of your corp.
As I know from experience, it's much easier to change a corp name when you're new than after months of gameplay. And trust me, you WILL wish you had a different name at some point.

By reading your corp description I have to agree with SirMolle.
By choosing the name "Evolution Technologies" I foresee lots of unwanted events happening to you....
I would strongly advise a corp name change tooà

Evolution Technologies implies that it is a subsidiary by name, regardless of whether or not it was intended as such. As a result, we see this as infringement upon our in-game trademark, one of which is without dispute. Therefore, we as the rightful holders of said trademark are entitled to certain rights in order that we may protect our in-game identity, and prevent its improper license. You may rest assured we will purse this matter to the fullest extent in game.

This decision is not taken lightly as I am fully aware of how close this brings your corp name and ours.
I assure you that I do not want to tread on your toes or anyones for that matter. However, please be assured that I, nor any member of the EVO clan mean any disrespect. Evo has been going strong for over 3 years out of EVE and this is the first move into this game that has been done. Therefore problems such as this will arise, the only thing I can do is remove Evolution from the Corp name. I cannot do anything about the Ticker, it is not intended to infringe on what you have and I am not attempting to use your name to further my own corp. That was never an intention, I hope that you should be able to find this acceptable.

But using the ticker [EVO] will get you in trouble with other people, as our ticker is [EVOL].
For your own sake, think more then twice.

Hi mate I dont think its you treading on toes as much as people warning you that it would be a real bad choice. Is there any other name your clan uses ? EVO and EVOL is way to close you'll get wasted in certain areas before peeps will even check the slight difference...

Well ream, while that would stick 2 fingers up at them. I have no intention of narking a corp when their name came first. like I said I do not want to tread on toes and that would be taking the **** a bit too much.
The name will be amended to Evolved Technolgies.
Unfortunately, no the Tags the clan use on all games regardless is [EVO] so I cannot get away from that.
well I know you are a PvP corp but lets hope that your Corp and ours can at least get on with each other.

Limp Chimp, its not about trying not to upset people in Evolution. We are just trying to warn you that you may be mistaken for us or that you may be killed by people who think you have some relation to us.
Several big corporations have an industrial corp and a pvp corp. You may be taken by our enemies to be the industrial side of Evolution. An example of this is Rona and Rona Kia.
We are just warning you is all, we have over 240 corps at -10, and some of them might shoot at you, or your ticker.
Your also very much like EV = Everlasting Vendetta too, who are also enemy of curse, so i wouldnt go around there too often.

Well Jim you might only have been advising me but as you can see SirMolle is not in the same state of mind as you.
I would not consider that advice, rather a threat. But that is not why I will change the name. Cos threatning me just makes me dig my heels in more, the reason I am changing it is because some people put on good advice as to why another name would be better.
