Seems CCP is working on an expansion that will see Industrialist get some TLC. See here!

Interesting. Looking forward to seeing what they do with it. I have my own ideas and suggestions, of course, but CCP has somehow managed to do a reasonable job of thinking up new ideas without my help. ------------------ Fix the forums! |

Probably something that'll make us all 500% richer in highsec and gets screamed at to be nerfed.

Considering the fact that ive gotten completely bored of pvp and am only playing eve to basically make isk/ collect ships/ check out the industrial side, im actually looking forward to this expansion.
Eventually I will get back into pvp, but I need to find the time and patience first. __________________________________________ When Will I be able to post again ? 13 days, 23 hours, 55 minutes, 36 seconds |

would help the industry if all ships came in cap ships style parts that are made from minerals like t2 ships
so when you brake down a ship you only brake it down for parts and not minerals yes i do mean t1 ships

To be honest, manufacturing in Eve has some serious issues right now that need to be addressed. I've heard of this expansion before (unofficially, nothing in the devblog as of yet), it seems like it has the right idea.
- Minerals should come primarily from mining, with reprocessed loot as a supplemental source. Right now (except for lowends), the opposite is true. - There's a huge (both player and character) skill gap between T1 manufacturing and T2 manufacturing. - T1 manufacturing is totally outcompeted by loot drops. Usually the only T1 items actually produced instead of being resold loot is stuff that doesn't drop as loot (ships, tractor beams, salvagers, ammo, etc) - No way to make 'better' (higher meta level) T1 items to compete with common named drops ---

Well it's an interview with EVE Associate Producer Arend Stuhrmann about the Empyrean Age expansion and what's coming up next for EVE. It's hardly a rumor of a rumor. He talks about empyrean age 1.1 and 1.2 patch content and the winter expansion called MIDAS that is "all about industry".
Ambulation will only be shown at fanfest, so it is likely to be the next summer expansion. Ambulations release date has always been the rumor of a rumor. No official word so far.

Linkage to the interview
Mkay, that was just my BS detector going off from the link then. Link-to-a-link-to-a-link does not equate to "seriously, its real".

No one cares about industry now that the backbone of industry, Chribbas' Veldnaught, is in dire threat of extinction.

Don't worry. I'm sure the expansion will show all the typical CCP forethought and ingenuity we've become accustomed too.
Which is to say, it will suck. I'm thinking a total nerf of the marketplace via extra skills and facilities needed to do anything.
Kinda like PvP has been getting. --------

What does my post have to do with Chribba?
I honestly think that they intend to make an expansion that will increase the complexity of industry without increasing the rewards - or else completely destroy the balance of time spent on industry to isk made. --------

Oh. Sorry.
Anyway, I think hi-sec industry is already pretty easy, so I don't really see how you can expand on it without introducing new modules/etc. Which would be ok, I guess. --------
