Take a look at the EVE Insider News page for information regarding Wednesday's extended down time and the buy-back schedule for the Jovian plot.

"I advise everyone to start long skill training that extends beyond the downtime."
That was a good addition to the news. But I still think posts like that should be even more like "we estimate that the servers will be back online at 16:00GMT". Every player can't be expected to take the "Murphy factor" into account...

Problem is that when they do give an estimate time, and they have problems then players start whining.

Isn't there more reason for whining when having problems after giving a set time?
I just meant that it can be useful to stress the fact that the times only are estimates, and unforeseen problems could extend the downtime further.

I am very disappointed to see that the empires now takes any amount of jovian parts. We are many players who have formed groups and worked hours to gather the necessary parts.
Set aside the bpc and isk reward, the whole RP race aspect of this event has now gone down the sink.
Greatly disappointed, and I know many of the other groups from the other empires are too.
I hope that you CCP will rethink this turn of events.

I know thats really frustrating Considering people have worked hard in collecting to minimum batches stated by CCP

Why? You wouldn't patch or turn on un-tested hardware with no way of going back to the old system immediately if the sh1t hits the fan, would you....?

I agree with you zinjan. They did make a mss of the event really, still all I hope is that they learn from their mistakes.

What in the world are you 3 talking about? Nothing in what was mentioned in that bit of news is any different than anything that was passed on to us before. The empireÆs are still collecting their batches, the individuals that do not have a whole batch are still being allowed to turn in their parts without compensation ,as mentioned that they might do in this Topic, just over halfway down by Oveur which states ôIf really many are interested in this, we can set up a demand where the minimum order is only 1 but it would not count towards the BPC's only as a donation to the Empire, which would help the races reach the common goal.ö (you even posted in this topic Xrak). That topic is dated 2 weeks ago, nothing new, nothing to be surprised about. Their still buying back at the stations previously mentioned in other news items. The only thing I can see that has changed is that they are doing buybacks with live people instead of market orders because things got screwed up there, but then again that issue was addressed days ago and is no big deal, heck I would rather deal with a live person than chance the market screwing up.
Please, if I am missing something do tell, because as far as I see nothing is any different today than yesterday or the day before etc... except that we now know exactly when they will be buying back the parts. Kieron, thanks for the updated info, its nice to finally have a date and time given so that I can make plans.

If youve worked hard and collected/are collecting for a full batch, why not just turn it and and get the reward? (the bpc) _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |

Alex Duron you are missing the whole roleplaying/race favour aspect of this event. I'm not talking about the 20 million isk or the cloaking device bpc.
Millions of isk and countless hours have been used to insure batches. Role Playing corporations have given parts out for "free" to other corporation's/people to insure another batch for their race. Now the outcome of this event rely on Epidermis Sliver.
Hope CCP in futher events will not chicken out like this. Also I hope that a full batch will have a multiplier.

Now that wasn't nice. I've sold 100+ Jovian parts because of not going to get enought for single batch. Now I'm dried up, and it's for everyone to grasp.

Quote: Starting next week they will instead revert back to the age old system of direct trade, bypassing the SCC markets. The commissioners will set up shop at specific locations at specific times and engage in direct one-on-one trade with anyone wishing to sell their body parts to the empires. The same criteria for minimum order size will prevail, and the price will also be the same.
Did I miss something?

I'n not sure if this is the last stage of the HW upgrade or not. I will track down the Sys Admin and find out. When I get an answer, I'll post here.
As for the ISD thing, I noticed the same thing. Not sure what is causing it, but no, I'm still on CCP's payroll.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding I have created. The empires will only buy the batch size stated. If you have 751 bone splinter you can give that, if you have 1 you can not.
I misunderstood this part of the news : "The commissioners will also be accepting body part donations from those who wish to serve their empire without monetary gain."
No idea how I got it to be they took all batch size, but I did.

We should not be getting money added on at all! I want CCP to develop and upgrade this game. If they didn't I would be the one whining and moaning and most likely leave to somewhere else. Why should we not expect that there will be days when we occasionally have to let them have time to do stuff?
Keep up the good work guys, and ignore the money grubbing minority. Maybe one day when they get real jobs they will understand what its like trying to deliver cutting-edge solutions and run a business at the same time.
