Check out us out... I am not logged on at the moment but you can send a group message to Kanska, Thomas Rothis, Codeland and Choon Tolus and one of them can sort you out if your interested. We can set you up immediately with one of our squad leaders who can help you try out the things you have read about in a bit of in corp PvP. You will also have a bunch of experienced PvE pilots to work with and have access to 0.0 for ratting when your ready. |

Edited by: Comrade Metalone on 27/08/2008 18:33:17 Hey Selenia. I'm happy to hear you're reading guides and prepared for the learning curve of this game. Eve sees a lot of new pilots join, but many of them are dropping off from lack of dedication and long-term planning.
My friends and I run a small-time (six member) empire-based corp that you might be interested in joining. Three of us have been playing for about two years and have various fleet/gang pvp experience throughout 0.0, low-sec, and high-sec, while the other three are within 1-3 months old. We'd be more than willing to help you out with your learning curve whether you're interested in joining us or not. We've also been dipping our hand into low-sec pvp here and there, while running mining ops in high sec with our POS in our "relaxation time".
Also, we're on literally every day running level IV missions as small groups, so it more than pays for our learning curve of losses during pvp! If you're interested in joining or simply tagging along one day for a bit of the missioning/fun, hit me in game with an eve-mail or conversation, I'd be happy to answer any questions!

Hey there, Selenia. Subtle Romance is a US-based pirate corp dedicated to the instruction of new or inexperienced players in PvP. While we're pirates, we're not griefers; we don't camp, lie or cheat. That said, we're very relaxed and open. There are no requirements as far as SP or participation is concerned, though I do encourage members to join gangs whenever I'm on.
There's no tax rate in the corp and I reimburse any frigates and cruisers lost while I'm leading gang. because of this, learning to PvP becomes relatively risk-free and lets you truly enjoy it without having to worry too much about your ship (until you move on to bigger ones).
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me in game or join the "Free PvP Help" channel. I look forward to flying with you.

I would strongly suggest joining the EVE University (E-Uni). Join the in-game chat channel "EVE University" (without quotes).
As a former member, and now successful PvPer, I can say that their training is top-notch. They have actual classes you can attend for everything you want to learn about, whether it be mining, industry, trade or PvP or anything else. The instructors are very good, and the environment and people in the Uni are generally great. Don't join a corp as a new player without considering the Uni.
