What resolution do you play Eve in and what version of fraps do you use?

Some relatively older versions of FRAPS don't record at Full size even if you set it like that, in case you use a resolution above 1024x768, or something like that. Make sure you got the newest version of fraps. I'm using version 2.9.4 and it works fine recording at 1680x1050 full size.

Thanks for the replies so far, Im using version '2.7.2' Build '5533', I followd some of AllyCat's video tutorials, I have full size with 30fps setting, In game i use full screen and 1280 x 1024 i believe by memory, but the size wasn;t great when i watched it back not the quality it was like it had been stretched really wide, More help is good thanks for support so far

2.8.x upwards allows 1280x1024 upwards full screen recording, for multi-core systems only.

A few little tricks I've learned making eve videos and I'm not claiming to be an expert here
Record in full resolution Though this will take up considerably more disk space, the quality of your vidio will be considerably better, if needed, lower the resolution of your Eve client. While recording at 1920x1440 may seem nice, its gonna bog down your hard drive while your recording. Personally I record in 1280x1024 but there is nothing wrong with encoding with the client at 1024x768 if you need to
Turn OFF anti-aliasing and bloom Ok, this may sound counter productive and make your images not quite look as good but you will improve your FPS when you do this resulting in smoother video, and besides if you are using a semi decent video editing program, BOTH of these effects can be simulated and added when you edit the video . Of course if you have a very good graphics card and your producing well over 25fps even when your recording, then you can ignore this tip.
Use 25 fps encoding Read one of the posts above. It lowers the load on your hard drive and cpu when encoding, no real need to encode at 60 fps unless you know your harddrive is fast enough (which more than likely it isnt) and you want to do some cool looking slow motion effects
Delete duplicate frames This is one of those tiresome processes but 9 times out of 10, those little pauses you may see in your video from lag or encoding 25fps when your client is only producing 20fps can be edited out for much smoother video... NOTE I said 9 time out of 10 not every time, sometimes lag can make your footage jumpy instead of just pause and this is MUCH harder to edit out
Never use a compression codec to encode your video UNTIL you are finished This is for when you add certain effects like a camera shake in a effects program such as Adobe After Effects and then put it into your video editing program. When you save the video from your effects package, you should ALWAYS use a lossless format to save it. If you use a codec such as DivX or Mpeg, these compress the footage by taking out bits of the detail resulting in slightly (or massivly depending on your settings) reduced video quality. If you then turn around and put it in your video editing program and encode it again (and in some cases again and again), each time you do it, you will degrade the video further. I recommend Alparysoft Lossless Codec if your using this technique (Its not the best lossless codec but its one I have found works very well). You should ONLY use compression when you render the final edit of your video thereby never losing any quality when switching between video manipulation programs.
...and finally When you render your final edit, use a good quality and familiar codec... it can be worth just rendering 10 seconds of footage to test it before you spend the time needed to render the whole video. Recommended codecs include DivX, Xvid (which is pretty much the same as divx) and Windows Media Video 9. There are a few other good ones out there
PS. You can find some really good video editing tips at CreativeCow most of the guides here are program specific but they do give a good guide on how to do some neat tricks
