Kind of pointless really, most RA fans will have that one. But it is nice for those who are new to the games.

Just watched the trailer for this game. Looks good and glad they have used real fmv videos. But they sure do love their FIT women in it. |

Still does not work - XP will not allow RED alert to install on my system it says The system file is not suitable for running Ms-Dos and Microsoft window applications.. - What the hell ?
Will I never get Red alert to work on XP !! :( |

Odd. I had no problems intalling and running it. I used windows 95 compatibility on the setup.exe and the shortcut onces it's intalled.
As for Counterstrike & Aftermath...If I could find my discs I'd tell you.  |

Now that I've got an HD LCD monitor, I can view my downloaded HD trailer for RA3 in HD. It's awesome, and the boobies look bigger too :-)

if ur having the same problem I had you need to download a patch that fixes the 16 bit subsystem problem that I had - once you install this patch you can then install red alert & then patch from there on. & it does work - but not in the fancy Res I was hopen for !! sadly its 640 x Res..!! still I did a quick skirmish !! had it on max speed got OWNED within 5mins slowed it down a touch & won .. guess il come back to that again in a year or so :) thanks for that little gem tho,
took up a nice hour of my time most enjoyed !! bring on SPORE! |

doesn't run if you have vista which really sucks as guess what! I have vista and before anyone goes why I have to say I have not had any problems with vista...maybe cause I have basic basic version. |

Ryan, if the download is the same RA1 I have then it should run just fine in Windows 95 compatibility mode under XP. Just make sure you use the windows executable and not the DOS one. |

If your trying to run the DOS executable... try using DosBox

50million to anyone who can link me a patch that will let me play Red alert in 800x600 or higher Res... I been loookin all over google can only find a C&C95 res patch !!
