I think this belongs here.
I fly a carrier.
Aside of the fleet ops (sit in pos shields / rep) I would like to do pvp with it at times (As I am getting to the stage where I wont cry my eyeballs out and start bashing my screen if I loose it)
Now what are the best drones to pvp with?
So far my thoughts are (all drones mentioned are t2 where possible):
Light:
Warrior for interceptors
hobgobs for other frigs
med:
hammerheads for shield tankers
Vespas for armor tankers
heavy:
Ogres for shield tankers
Wasps for armor tankers
Sentry:
Wardens for range
Garde for dmg
Fighters:
Einherji for armor tanks
Templar for shield tanks
Ewar / logistics:
All types
So:
- Does this all make sense?
- I already have quite some drones for different situations but are there perhaps better ones for jobs I listed? Or jobs I havent thought of?
- Does anyone have better solutions / things I havent thought of? |

Usually you are better off simply using valks/hammerheads/ogres and fighters for very light/med/heavy/bs+ respectively. |

You mean go for full dmg instead of making the shield / armor distinction? |

Therm is crazy tanked and gallente drones are the slowest.
Stick with minmatar. |

Depends, omni tank on shield will have quite high exp resist and a bit less thermal, armour, its the other way around but gallente drones do more dps at the cost of a bit of speed when compared to minmatar drones. |

Explo and em are ussually a shield tankers (t2) lowest resists, e.g. 1 em 1 invuln: lowest em/explo |

Go for max damage, most stuff is omni tanked anyway and chances of you finding out whch resistance you should be using...
Well good luck.
That means ogre II for close stuff, berserkers for far stuff (or sentries). I would stick to warrior II for lights tbh, not much will tank 10 of them if you need to get them out. (since it will be a frig or speed tanked).
For fighters use a mix with a weight towards Einherji (since they are fastest). Since all fighters do the same DPS you just need to pick damage types basicly. And sicne everything is basicly omni tanked anyways, just go for what gets there quickest :D
Also you will rip plate tanks a new one! |

how are gallente do more dps`?
plus minmatar ones not only faster, they have more HP as well |
