I need help please. I did not think that this would be so difficult, as I have granted access to the first few members with no issues.
I have members that state they cannot access the hangars I have set their permissions for. I have set hangar access as query and take to yes for hangars and for containers using Hq, based at and general. I started off with just general permission until receiving complaints that it did not work, then used based at and HQ.
What am I doing wrong? |

try hangar access other.
if its based at you have to specify a base, and therefore they wonthave access to the hangars at any office.
HQ is the same thing. |

Also pick something up throw it. Say a few curse words, then throw something else. I usually had to have a minor hissyfit before I was able to fix station access settings. |

For starters, do not manually give your new guys custom roles one by one, you'll never see the end of it and will quickly loose track of who had what and why again.
Instead make a template under a custom title and set the permissions there, then everytime a new guy joins you can add the title to him with one simple mouseclick and he will have all the roles on that template and they will work.
tip 1: Preferably all "based at" roles are blank, only use HQ and Other wich should be identical.
tip 2: Never ever ever ever give someone "grantable" roles.
There's a fair number of template slots with wich to build a rank system with an increased scale of permissions from grunt to senior to officer, or for several divisions in the corp.
tip 3: and finally and most importantly, with one mousclick you can give people an 'empty' template with one insignificant role or no roles and call it "away" or "lost in space" or something.
It will happen frequently that players get beamed up by aliens never to be seen or heard from again and 4 months later the account is sold or hacked and some other dude logs in under that character and clears out your hangars and wallet.
