I like how there was a convincing argument made for Mittens doing anything really bad. Sure, others might be better at the job (me! lol) but I've yet to see anything that convinces me he's done bad for Eve.

It certainly has been more interesting so in that regard yes. Is Eve gaining new players? Who stick around? That is the real question. Calm down now, calm down. The Mittani lives in a small corner of Goonsec and has no bearing on 90% of the Eve playerbase, most of whom don't know who he is, and don't care. He will have no actual impact on you in the game. You will not see him coming and shooting you in a strategic cruiser. Ignore him, as most do, and he becomes irrelevant beyond being a guy with a husky. The husky is quite sweet, though.
In other words: don't believe the hype.
