I was looking to join a larger corporation like Hadean Drive Yards, they just won't respond to my application. What are some other big corps in game, and are they recruiting?

some of the big corps that come to mind are Everlasting Vendetta, Rona-Kia, HDY, and Techell. I think EV and HDy are both currently recruiting.

Some of the bigggest corps in game are Everlasting Vendetta, Xanadu, Black Nova Corp, Evolution and Omega Corp (of course  )

Why would a noob want to start out in a big corp right away anyway ? A neew players thrives when given attentiona and training, which only organised or small corps give. It doesnt have to be a large one.
And as far as large=power goes. Well we know cls has 320+ members

I believe North Star Networks are one of the biggest Swedish-only-corporations right now with somewhat like 100 members.
So if you speak swedish and feel lost don't hesitate to contact Graltok or Masken ingame for more information.

Thanks for showing interest in the Drive Yards. With regards to your application which I'm sure you will hear something within the next 2 days. The HR Dept has been rather busy the moment the new recruitment post had been released. it should not take no more then 1-3 days to hear of anything about your application. But please do feel free to join our public channel used no for a number of roles (general hang out and ship/bpc sales/infomation) "SHOP@HDY" where not all but afew members who will be there to help in anyway possible. Laird our Human Resources Officer will, I'm sure contact you soon though :)

If you speak swedish and feel lost I'd like to suggest a more global perspective inside a large international corp with several swedish members; Consider joining Black Nova Corp [BNC].
Either way you'll receive the opportunity to both speak with and pod other swedes as NSN and BNC currently are on diff sides in the northern war. . Unfortunately.

Damage Inc is a great place and I know a couple of the guys personally. I can also tell you that HDY and Damage, Inc. are two vastly different styles of play.

Rona are a big corporation, and welcome new starters, Rona-KIA (R-K) are the Military Subsidiary wing. And applications to join us are pretty much invite only.

It pains me to say this, but Xanadu is a well run corp and a very large one to boot. Most of the folks in the corp are nice.(owie, that hurt) Don't know what their recruiting policies are however, and most are euro's.
