As many of you know the CVA undertook a 'hunt and destroy terrorists' mission to PRM space on Monday evening as detailed here.
Unfortunately on the return journey a number of allied ships suffered systems failures which left them stranded in Minmatar space.
One such pilot was Garreck of Blacksheep Squadron who, after restoring power to his ships systems the next evening, found himself alone and in a hostile system with multiple enemies.
Despite this Garreck determined to extract himself from Minmatar space. He warped to a gate only to meet a Minmatar fleet blocking his exit.
The Minmatar terrorists severely damaged his battleship's armor before he managed to warp away from the gate to find refuge among the system's many moons.
Garreck put in emergency call to their allies in the CVA and rapidly a fleet was brought together.
Golan Trevize, Siobhan and Sidyous of PIE rendevoused in Amarr and set course for Yulai. On the way more joined up including Rodj Blake and Ethidium Bromide of PIE who joined the fleet in Yulai. In the neighbouring system of Lustrevik PIE pilot Intarius Dax joined the fleet as did the BlackSheep Squadron pilots Turlyeon Cadarn and Russo - determined to free their corp mate from the clutches of the terrorists.
This Amarr loyalist fleet progressed to Teonosude with Minamatar terrorists scattering before them. At Teonosude the relieved Garreck joined the fleet and course was set for home. It seemed that the Minmatars had no stomach for the fight.
Things were about to change.
Frosty, a renowned Minmatar terrorist, equipped with a dual MWD Rupture had been harrassing the Amarr fleet all evening using his craft's superior velocity to stay out of danger.
However he clearly underestimated the Amarrian firepower when he swooped in close for yet another missile attack. This time however the lasers finally hit their target and his ship exploded, as did his pod shortly thereafter.
New enemies were sighted. SMAK Enterprises, fierce enemies of BlackSheep Squadron (but not at war with PIE) were in local with a force which threatened the three Blacksheep members (including Garreck's already wounded battleship).
However, due to a comms error one of the SMAK ships jumped straight into the 3 BlackSheep ships clustered at a gate and was reduced to minimal structure before managing to warp away.
By now other Minmatar terrorists from the Freelance Unincorporated and the Peoples Front of Minmatar had joined two other SMAK ships at the opposing gate.
Deciding it was an opportunity too good to miss the allied Amarr fleet warped to the gate where a fierce battle errupted. The Blacksheep Squadron engaged their foes in SMAK while the PIE pilots focused on the other terrorists who bravely stayed to fight.
The Minmatar through excellent jamming tactics managed to nullify any offensive contribution from Admiral Golan (for the entire battle) and initially succeeded in preventing several of the other Amarrian ships from opening fire.
The Minmatars concentrated their offensive fire on Siobhan's Apoc which was reduced to 50% armor at one stage.
However slowly the Minmatar fleet began to crumble. Maggot in a jamming Blackbird died first. With some of the EW out of the equation other Amarrians could join the fight and numbers began to tell with the terrorist battleships of Stront3h and Bonesy19uk (who apparently suffered a systems failure) succumbing to laser fire. The other terrorists realising the hopelesness of their situation then fled.
As PIE clashed with PFOM and Freelance Unicorporated, Blacksheep Squadron were fighting their own war with SMAK. The SMAK ships concentrated their fire on the by now severely damaged battleship of Garreck but were themselves under fire from Russo and Turleyon Cadarn.
The battle tipped Blacksheep's way when a SMAK battleship warped out with over 50% structural damage. The Amarr loyalists now held the gate.
After this decisive victory the fleet set course for Amarr with no more incident.
They came, they saw, they rescued!

Once again, Garreck had faced off with SmakÆs SAS. Once again, he had survived. Barely.
And at great cost. Phoenus had not been so lucky. A combined force of Smak, Freelance Unincorporated, and Terrorist Front of Minmatar ships had seen to the demise of his scorpion. Had it not been for the PIE fleet that had been scrambled to rescue the hapless Blacksheep pilots, it was likely that Garreck would be standing in the sterile lab of a cloning facility right now, rather than the burnt out husk of his quarters.

Sure. Interesting how SMaK declareed war on us, yet they never coming looking for fights. We were told the war was because they did not want us in their space. But the CVA spends more time there...
I guess when they realised that when we weren't easy kills anymore, by flashing our new ships around, they got a bit spooked. 3 SMaK members turning up to defend their home territory is mighty poor.
and Mafish, you were referring to his skills in a battleship when saying he is 'Rock hard', right? cus if you werent, then you just confirmed all my suspicions about Sneaky Magic Inc.

As far as I'm aware it was just me firing on that ship. I noticed on my auto targets that the other 3 BS that fired on me had all already taken damage, some stripped of their shields.
My ship finaly blew up under the fire of 6 BS, Concord and gate guns, thanks to someone getting in the way of my cruise missles that were being fired from extremly close range. (think the republic fleet may have had a hand in there too  )
OOC:This really ****ed me off, was a nice fight(as is usual with yourselves) and I could have possibly made my escape. But once again a TPFM BS is lost due to non combatant feeling the need to fly through a 20 odd ship fleet engagement

And how many times have Blacksheep Squadron entered Heild alone Tury?
How many times have you entered "PRM" territory alone?
When you did infact enter our space, how many SMaK members were in local? (Bear in mind, SMaK are afk masters ;))
When we do engage you, because were not so busy engaging Sneaky, and have managed to pass bosena without having to fight. We have showed up and done well.
So, enough. Ill see you again, and you can feel my wrath. I've been away from PRM space for the last 2 weeks, with 3 others of our fighters on a secret mission. When we return, well, I don't like to make idle comments here, so you can find out for yourself soon enough.

The battle for me was incomplete. Garreck was taking heavy fire, and i'm almost certain a few more shots would have finished him. Turyleon was opening fire upon myself as his drones mangled away at my Hull.
Suddenly, as it seemed that Garreck was finished, his ECM systems kicked in and my weapons were shut down. I suddenly found myself within a matter of seconds staring 10% Armour square in the face from 50% shields.
Thankfully i warped away and was able to repair. Things could have been much different had SMaK communications been correct enabling Vinknut to aid us. That night was a good battle and brought back memories of SMaK v Blacksheep clashes but 4 months ago.
However, tonight i got a slice of vengeance - A Blacksheep Griffin was left fleeing with little hull left in PRM space and a Blacksheep Industrial was shot down in Gulfonodi. Harv Timmer got away with his life.
Information is not clear, but we believe Harv to have been left behind during the recent invasion of PRM space.
Annu and the rest of the SAS are on undisclosed SAS training missions and are to return shortly - woe betide those who oppose SMaK and the PRM upon their return.

We aren't interested in looking for fights - the war was declared to allow us an even playing field in/around the Tartarven area - and so that we may give chase (if I ever manage to get more than one damn torp off before getting my azz kicked) and track down and finish the job once started.
This, I feel, was made quite clear in the discussions that took place between SMaK and Blacksheep before the war started - so I'd consider gathering some "facts" before posting next time.

CVA does not stop calling enemies in CONCORD sanctioned wars "terrorists",
CVA does not stop invading PRM space, on their usual attempt to patrol what is not theirs, to 'hunt and destroy terrorists' as one of it called the feeble raids of CVA war-parties,
CVA does not stop to lose pilots and material during these pathetic operations, what a waste of ressources to 'rescue' a black sheep ...

I have seen stranger things in my war years. Even the dark forces can have a strange sense of comradarie. As I have seen Minmitar warriors brave the onslaught of a fleet of Apocolypse Battleships to save even one slave, so too have I witnessed the Amarrian's risk all to save one ally
Either they love their ally as a friend, or they're loosing too many good resources to risk a botched clone job.
Either way, I cannot fault them for their loyalty.

Ah, my dear Randuin. You can do better than that, I'm sure.
The Concord sanctioned wars are not what define these "freedome fighters" as terrorists. Their illegal activities against civilian traders carrying legal goods is what has earned them the title.
As for the wasted resources...to the best of my knowledge, no CVA ships were lost in the rescue op. Phoenus lost his Scorpion beforehand.
However, it does not surprise me that you would consider the CVA's actions a waste of resources...taking care of your own does not seem to be PRM's strong point. It is well recorded that PRM space is under the reign of terror of a pirate corporation, and yet PRM ships continue to appear in pointless harassing raids in Amarr space, blind to the plight of their own "republic."
Keep pointing fingers, Randuin. That'll free your people.

my apologies DeT, after having to endure Sneaky Magic's smack-talk down in hrober the other evening, i just couldn't resist the temptation to drop down to their level and flame them when they hijacked a perfectly legitimate thread.
Sneaky Magic are hardly rp'ers so i wonder why they are even looking in this forum.

pretty obvious to me what's really going on.
Just delete the posts, "they" openly admit they don't RP. So in effect their posts have no business here, and mean only one thing, and as far as I was aware, Trolling was a bannable offense.
If they get banned, suits me fine

Not what i'd call a retreat, we got what we went for, destroyed the resistance that decided to fight us and then we left destroying all resisitance that popped up on way home.
