Mynxee Minmatar Hellcats Doom Armada	Posted - 2008.09.02 14:49:00 - [1] I'm looking for a few yarrin' gals to join my newly-formed women-only pirate corp. Nuthin' against you guys, but as a female myself, I like the idea of running with my own kind in a friendly, social, nurturing environment--sort of an ongoing girls' night out, only with guns and missiles. You know...where we can talk about shoes, sex, food, diets, relationships, kids, jobs...while we kill people and take their money and stuff. A few basics: ONLY women players may join. Female characters are preferred; male characters will be assigned Boy Toy status. We are Hellcats, after all. We have an image to perpetuate and maintain. A sense of humor, love of the yarr, and willingness to use teeth and claws are all that is required to apply. No minimum skill point requirements--pirate kittens will be cheerfully mentored in a friendly, supportive environment. Members must be 18 or older and speak English. No trial accounts. Members are expected to be self-sufficient ISK-wise, but a starting set of frigates and T1 modules will be provided to newer players. Initial interview and ongoing presence on Vent for members IS REQUIRED (to help prevent infiltration by guys!) The Corp exists to provide fun for and enrich its members through pirating. Corp structure, expenses and assets are kept to the barest possible minimum. Our main bases are in Decon (Sinq Laison) and the Essence region, but we'll roam all over low sec and some 0.0 looking for trouble....errr, profit. Solo pirating, small roaming gangs, station and gate camps, hi-sec ganking, and can flipping are all encouraged. Scams, theft, and other devious activities will be tolerated so long as they do not affect corp or alliance mates. I realize, given the low percentage of female EVE players, that it's going to be a challenge to build a women-only corp. However, I believe it can be done, and that the result will be scary-awesome. Discrimination based on gender, especially discrimination against women. 2. Attitudes, conditions, or behaviors that promote stereotyping of social roles based on gender. According to definition 1, why yes we are discriminating based on gender. So? Men aren't allowed in women's public restrooms either (unless dragged there by a group of colluding women, but that's a story for another venue ). Just accept that you can't go everywhere, nor do you own everything (as I must keep reminding my husband!) LOLs. As for definition 2, no. I think I explained our rationale for an all female corp pretty clearly in my OP. As far as guys making an all-guys corp...go for it! You would get nothing but support from me. Maybe even gratitude. But it is clearly sexist, but in this case I think it matters not, it not like eve hasn't plenty of all male corps anyway, in 5 years I have had one female corp mate and in fairness, she turned out to be a spy and used her "ladyness" to wrap 90% of our corp (including me) around her little finger. While it's certain that you may not flame me for starting an all male corp, any actions that are designed to include and disadvantage any social group based, solely on Sex, Colour or Greed is inherently wrong. However, in this case, as i have said.. it prolly matters not as Eve is a 99% male dominated game. alarmingly I also found a corp called "whites Only" yesterday in Black Rise, this bothers me much much more.
