I want a third Eve client, one which has the option to tone the graphics down even further:
Background Nebula/dust off
Textures off or "lite"
Lower res options
Lighting effects off
Why? So that I can play Eve on any machine I want! I have one which makes Eve look awsome and then there is the other which is fairly jerky even on bottom of current Classic settings.
Also, it would mean people can play Eve on underpowered "work" laptops.

Op, I think this is a great idea. Specifically, I want the the option in premium graphics to turn those nebula clouds off.
An EvE-Lite, however, would be a smart move for the dev team, as it opens the game to many more players, while also providing those players already in-game the option of using weaker machines when they aren't at home, etc.

Good idea, and I think CCP is aware of that. This "EVE Lite" would allow PPL to increase the number of ALTs logged in the game and would also automatically increase CCP's income, since PPL would probably pay for extra accounts.
EVE Classic is legacy code... I think we are talking about new code with more flexibility for the user to reduce processing power / network usage. The aim is to have a more interactive game experience, even with low-end CPUs / graphic cards.
Personally, I prefer higher interactivity over higher image quality.

I'd prefer an EveMobile so that I can change skills on my Mobile Phone :)
