Any chance that we'll ever see any upgrades to the special effects, especially when a ship is destroyed? For example, currently when you destroy another ship, it simply 'pops'. It's not very exciting, rather boring actually. I can see a shuttle merely 'popping' or even some small frigates. But I would expect larger vessels to go up in a series of explosions culminating in one final grand 'boom' that might even create a small shockwave. Also, once I managed to get my cruiser down to 17% hull (small underestimation of a few rats on my part) and the only special effect that produced was a small fireball on the bottom of my ship. The rest of the ship appeared that it hadn't been scratched though I would expect at 17% hull to have glowing hull breaches all over the place with maybe even some of the lights on the ship out or flickering to give the appearance of a powergrid that had been destabilized from massive damage. You could also make it that when you thrust with high damage one or more of the engines could 'sputter' or maybe not light up at all to indicate some engine damage. It might make combat more exciting since you might want to actually fly in close to see the damage you are doing to your target before getting to sit back and watch a 3-5 second 'death' sequence of explosions and flying pieces. Just tell your graphic artists and programmers to use their imaginations and have fun with it. It may not do anything for the game mechanics but it would liven things up a bit.

I want that to. But, Imagine the insane lagg from all the effects
But damn it would look awesome, hull glowing all orange from the melting hull, people been sucked out of the gaps 
Would be cool.

after a bs gets blown up..it goes on for a further 3 seconds in exposions..then one massive ring of explosion..ive lost a few and blown up tonnes and its always a pretty cool looking effect if your not playing a game of symbols

Dynamic damage would be cool too. So a laser hitting a ship leaves a scar on its hull and that kind of stuff. But these things would have to be toggled by the user since it would get pretty laggy in big battles.
Also one thing I'd really like to see is shots that miss actually miss the ship instead of hitting it. Would be cool to see lasers or projectile rounds fly past the target ship sometimes.

If not mistaken the rounds thing already happens. At least I swear my 800mm's when I tried it last on Choas you could see rounds going all over the place.
