fyi the fight an hour before 2-cg was not a slaughter and not a win for the nc. worst you can look at it is we came out even. 2-cg no doubt was welp but in the overall picture even that fight wasnt too dramatic. ear bleeding from teamspeak yellage was way worse than the acctual ship loss :D

wooohooo the NC (with like 10 times TRI numbers) won one battle in 2CG and now we should be down and in te gutter?
It was a battle we lost, nothing more than that. Loads of lag on both sides an numereous ships lost to that. Even the NC would have done better if the lag wasn't tampering their side aswell.
On the other hand we dealt several blows to the NC in TVN, CF, T-Z, QFF and the surrounding system.
So next time:
- post with your main instead of doing it the coward's way
- check recent fights before claiming a huge victory in 2 CG
- having 10 times the numbers, at least 10 times the isk and assets and still losing 8/10 battles isn't a "win"

Nice for you that it worked but killing fleet with dd is not very exiting to readabbout these days.

If by 'barely escaped' you mean they blew up 170 ships for about 20 losses, then yes it was truly a close shave

The dual dd was just a part of the engagement. The climax so to speak was the fight at the planet with the Titan tackled. that was where both parties threw everything (allso the brush from the kitchen sink) in in order to eighter kill or save the titan.
Allso, if you look further than the ships killed by the dubble dd, 170 was killed in the whole engagement, but 'only' 80 or so by the titans. that leaves 90 kills performed by RR bs's and support (and a few killed by smartbombs). That has to be compared to a total fleetstrength for TRI of 80 pilots.

Great write up of an awesome fight. Was even interspersed with some comedy value when a G-Fed gang warped through local and jumped straight into the NC fleet. (Sorry guys we forgot to warn you ) Needless to say they must have died pretty quick.
The FC'ing was great on our side, and the lack of lag and the double DD levelling the sides made it a fair fight which we promptly turned into a slaughter.
It was pretty pant browning though when the word went out that the Titan was bubbled and a load of caps popped out (still can't figure out why they dropped the cyno on the gate?!). However, TRI ARMY or is it NAVY, as apparently "Gob likes a mouthful of Seamen", prevailed.
Final thanks have to go to the cap pilot who logoffskied at some point and then just as the fight ended, decided logged back on before our fleet had left the gate.

The best bit of the night though was when a 15 man Beach Boys (GBC) roaming nano gang entered local and warped to the gate we were sitting on in T-Z and after we locked them up they all jumped through into QFF and into the 150 man NC gang on the other side. To top it off another of their vagas then lands on the same gate 2 minutes later and does the exact same thing.
As for the cyno and why they didnt light it up on the titan rather than the gate I am assuming that they had no idea at the time the cyno was lit that the titan was tackled as no-one could have foreseen the pilot warping to the planet rather than the POS and so the cyno was probably a deliberate attempt by them to take down our RR BS gang that was on the gate at the time and after they had committed they then learnt the titan was tackled, it was just very good work by the dictor pilots to get their caps delayed so we had time to take down the hictors before the caps could get them remote repped.
It was a great fight but it was a mix of good play by tri pilots and very good luck that we were not a titan down, but its that snatching victory when the stakes are high that makes eve worth playing notwithstanding all the problems with it.

good write up.You were honest with the mistake it's nice to see something happen after the DD. BoB would of finshed it off with the triple DD.however good writ eup with all the little bits.good on the nc for keeping it at it and im sure whoever warped to the planet ot find the titan there vs a moon(pos) was yelling on ts.in the end even with tri failing nc wanted to prove they were the best at it.

Oh man, that was epic. I'd just logged in as Act 3 went down.
We had to display our balls to get them to jump into us, to get the DD.
Even without the DDs i reckon we'd have mopped up most of the enemy fleet, because we kept them split up across 2 systems. Lolmoment for me was when NC jumped their support in, our BS warped IN on them on the QFF gate, and it was just pure ****. A lot of their support died solely to our BS on the gate. Thank god my Apoc is cap stable with 8 Tachyons and MF loaded
The fact that our titan went to the planet simply served to get us more kills in the end. Dissapointed we didnt capitalise on the potential to face**** a lot of NC caps, but with our fleet numbers at the time and the fact that a lot of us were still cleaning our pants, i reckon NC would have just tanked us with remote reps and we wouldnt have killed much anyway.

Hmm this short description does nothing to describe the sinking feeling I (and I assume other) Tri BS pilots felt when I got the traffic control message when jumping out. I was convinced I was going to get freindly fire double DDed, and was frantically clicking jump..... There must have been some lag coz someone on ts shouted "OMG look at that!" when I appeared to still be in t-z. The screen went black, I thought it would clear with me in the station, but no QFF loaded. 2 seconds of relief then the FC was screeming for us to re-approach and jump through to re-engage.
It was a top fight :-)

As for the fight, a great fight, and 'mad props' as they say for both sides 'bringing it'... I haven't seen Titans used like that in a long while (and by that I mean actually warping in to more than your fleet can handle without the use of a Titan), then the 30 odd caps that were dropped on top of my Crusader really made me need a change of underwear!
Here's hoping for more great fights!

A very good battlereport there wish there were more of them like that in here from all sides and less of the smack shit, was much more honest than a lot I've seen.

I got the feeling they didnt know what the fark was going on at that time, as their ts must have been agog with wtf we just got dd...etc...whine whine.
My gut feel was the caps were brought in in a miscommunication either to try save the baships or because they thought the titan was tackled on the gate. It happened so fast, but im pretty sure i remember the cyno going up as nano support was ordered to the gate to try to stop stragglers from DD from warping out.
Maybe though the cyno pilot was just desynced?
Who knows...
whatever the reason was it was good for us and bad for NC>
