CHAPTER SIX: In The Flesh...
Snape sagged against her after his shattering climax, surprised when she pulled him to her breast when he tried to move.
"No," She murmured. "Stay. Stay in me."
He groaned and offered no protest, though he did, position his arms and legs to take some of his weight off her a bit, while he felt her hands, feathery touches now, stroking his hair as she held him against her chest.
"Merlin, Hermione," He rasped. "What have we done?"
She kissed his head softly, unable to wipe the grin off her face. "I think we've called a truce..Severus."
He lifted his head at the sound of his name and looked at her, dark eyes marvelling at the melodic way she said it. He shifted position slightly and kissed her full, swollen lips gently, one hand moving to cup her face lightly.
"You said my name," He murmured as he basked in the sensation of her heart beating against his, her legs caressing him lightly.
"Well, you said mine," She replied with a giggle. "Besides, I wasn't about to yell 'Professor'. I know it's pretty lonely down here in the dungeons but..."
For a moment neither spoke, letting the silence mingle with the smell of sex for a time. "You realize of course...I'm not about to let you blab about this to Potter and Weasley and their group of nimwits, right?" He lifted an eyebrow slightly, though his eyes shone with amusement.
"Oh please," She replied cheekily. "Like they'd bloody well care? As far as they know, I've shagged with Ron on a lark and that's about it. I talk a good talk and joke about things but..." She let her voice trail off and closed her eyes a moment. "People don't expect me to do some things. They just...they don't. So I wouldn't worry. Even if I DID tell them, I doubt they'd believe me."
Snape nodded and offered no protest as she slowly drew his head back down to her breast again. "I suppose you have a point," He admitted quietly, sighing softly as he listened to her heart beating, one of his hands absently trailing along the smooth slope of her hip. "We do have our roles to play, my Pet, don't we? You and your circle...me and mine."
Another awkward rift of silence passed between them. He felt her fingers move down to his shoulders and he allowed himself to sigh softly.
"So what do we do?" She breathed, watching as he lifted his head again and cupped her face in his hands.
"We keep having skirmishes, I suppose." He smirked. "After all...we never actually SIGNED anything, did we?"
She stared at him for a moment, then burst into laughter. "And here I thought you had softened up in your old age...SIR."
"Never, Miss Granger. Does this feel soft to you?" He took her hand and lowered it, watching her eyes as they darkened.
"Mmm...no, SIR. I don't believe that IS soft at all."
"Good. I'm glad to see you're paying attention THIS time." He ran his hands up into her hair and lowered his mouth to hers, letting the kiss gradually deepen, tasting her sweet breath that faintly reminded him of chocolate.
*By Merlin, I'm even starting to LIKE that blasted perfume she doused over herself...*
