I docked a damaged scorpion in a station that had no repair facility. Each time I try to undock the event gets aborted and I get a message that says "your ship is too damage to handle in space". How am I to fix a ship that I cannot repair in station and cannot move to another station?

Have you perhance removed any armor plates from it? If that's the case, put those back and you should be able to undock. If not, well...umm...this shouldn't happen :D Petition it.
Balance is important, but you will always adapt to changing circumstances and you don't whine about stuff you can't change. |

This is quite possibly one of the fixes in the latest patch where ships with negative armor/hull cannot undock. As people have mentioned - you probably removed something (or it was damaged to the point of being offline) that has possibly caused your hp to go below zero.
OR! It could be if you took enough hull damage (ship on fire) that they won't let you undock? If your ship is on fire it slowly takes damage until it's fixed, so it might be that your ship is/was on fire and must be repaired to fly again without blowing up. If you can't repair and it's armor dmg, undock your pod and bring back some plates. If it's hull dmg I honestly don't know what you can do aside from reprocess the ship and get a new one.

Dude its happened to me - very annoying and frustrating to have a ship allowed to dock damaged - but when you want to undock because that particular station has no repair facilities - you can't.
Why could I fly the ship earlier - but now I can't? No armor or hull was removed in station.
The fix is get an armor plate and a repairer - just fit extra armor on your ship - undock and repair it.
They need a warning message for station that let you dock - but not undock. __________________________________________________ Sup brosef! Destry's Lounge is looking for a few good drunks - contact me in game.

Ummm... no they don't. Can you see it now? I am hot docking, already have taken damage and am under fire by enemies. I go to dock to save my ship and YOUR wonderful warning box pops up... I can't dock until I click "OK" and my ship is destroyed.
Stop trying to dumb down the game because you can't be bothered to read the forums or ask questions from a friend.
As others in this thread have posted, put on an armor plate and a repper and you can undock and repair your ship.

This is not a new problem. Log off and back in and you should be able to undock.

Does anyone know what the minimum structure/armour needs to be to be considered safe to undock?
BTW, the log off/log back on trick does NOT work. If you have a Hull Repairer, will that do the trick, or do you need to somehow bolster the hull somehow?

a trick that worked for me: strip fitting of your active ship, leave it, make it active again and fit all your parts again then you can undock (may require armor)

I have been having this exact problem (negative HP etc.), BUT I fly Caldari and shield tank, so I have no structure or armor mods fitted. The problem has only surfaced since I trained Mechanic V - prior to that I could get shot full of holes (eg as low as 3% structure), but could always fit a repper and undock to fix things.
Since my skills went up, losing all my armor has become a problem, even if the structure damage is small. I am beginning to think it's because my structure HP > armor HP.

its allways been like this what you do is buy bulk-heads or armor plats depending if your in structure or not, fit and undock

It wasn't like this before I trained Mechanic V - I could lose all my armor and undock/repair normally. Just now I had it happen again: 6300/8300 structure remaining (plenty) but had to file a petition so I could get out to repair my armor.
I'll try the armor fitting trick, but it is sort of the suck.

I had the same thing happen to me today. It was a learning experience.
If it happens again, file a petition describing the situation and the amazing devs will plop you outside the station. I put mine under "Stuck Character." It sure beats trying to buy things your current station might not have or the risk of flying your pod around to get another ship.
To avoid this in the future, make sure you set up a safe bookmark before you go into combat. If it's a station, you can check its info and click the "services" tab to see if it has a repair service long before you dock there.
As for bugs or other such things, I have no idea. I'm a noob myself. Although, I had over 50% of my structure HP left, but my armor was toast when it happened to me.
