Ok, so I've been reading these forums, albeit silently, for a month now. I've looked through the resource info at the top. Lots of it covers trading, and starting an IPO, but I can't seem to find any information on actually how to judge an IPO and whether or not it's a worthy investment. I can see myself starting an IPO (not for a very long time mind you, I'm still on training wheels, learning what I can on here.) and want to learn the ins and outs of it. IRL I've no experience dealing with the stock market. So, to sum up, how can one best judge an IPO? I've read here that they all get the most brutal of scrutiny, not to be rude, but to protect investors at all costs, an approach I completely concur with. So, can anyone offer a trading/market novice any helpful advice? Thanks very much in advance. Freighter Service Available |

Aeronar, There are many, many posts about investing; just read through this forum. The best way to judge IPOs is to do your own research. If you have any questions left after reading the 50+ posts about investing and posible IPOs to invest in, then ask specific questions.

It was not trolling but sage advice. No one is going to bother with you, except for the masochistic few, if they can not easily read what you have to say. It is not like we are desperately awaiting the next thread. You want advice, you have to ask it in a way that encourages people to want to bother with you. Yes, it's arrogant. But that's how people are.

Well looking at his post history it seems that wall of text is a pattern for him. Hopefully he'll fix that and have a more comfortable life. Though it is a shame he's punished us so thoroughly by removing his posts in this thread. Oh what are we to do now?!?

I was expecting much better drama than that. Oversold indeed.

My apologies but unless you are a paying customer your expectations are not my concern. =) (And if you were a paying customer you get what you pay for. no more, no less.) PS: Perhaps the op should've asked to have the thread locked. At this point it's a totally empty thread. (I summon Mitnal!)

Say what you want about the fascist jackboot of our moderator oppressors, but at least Mitnal never promised entertainment and then failed to deliver.
