What ships can deploy an interdiction sphere? Can you warp into a sphere and not out of one? What is the range/duration of a interdiction sphere? Is there a module that has a long range and behaves like that?
Also can I get random information about advanced warp scrambling? (Beyond the use of the scrambler and disruptor...)

1. Any ship with an Interdictor Sphere launcher, ie Interdictors. 2. You cannot warp inside the bubble. You will end up at it's outer rim. You will also be sucked into the bubble (still the outer rim) if the bubble is anywhere on your destination (last 150 km) of your warp trajectory. 3. This I cannot answer, because I frankly don't know. I'll leave that to someone else. 4. Well, if you are aware of the normal scrams and disruptors, you always have the Warp Disruption field deployed by heavy interdictors (HICs). This can be used with a focus script which will turn the field into a concentrated, long range "beam" of infinite warp scrambling strength. I believe the range is around 16-17 km ish.
Balance is important, but you will always adapt to changing circumstances and you don't whine about stuff you can't change. |

3. Look them up on the market, they're categorized as probes. Here's the Item Database info on them, don't know how up to date the Item Database is. The market, in-game, is up to date.
2 minutes duration, 20 km bubble radius, they appear next to the ship when launched, looks like.

Until recently, I thought all warp bubbles came from interdictors or heavy interdictors, even the monster 54km-radius ones. But I've recently learned that the biggest bubbles are "anchorables" which means any ship can launch them. Interdictors/HICs can only launch feeble 20km bubbles. My question for the forum here is: what's the benefit of interdictors, then?

Normal Interdictors are highly mobile, and they can leave after they drop their bubble.
Anchorable bubbles take several minutes to anchor/unanchor and are mostly a feature of a static gatecamp, for example while protecting a POS, not something you bring with you when roaming with your gang.

The difference between asking someone to walk into a cage and dropping one on top of them.

Large bubbles are 585m3 so they wont fit in most cargoholds...

Time and space
It takes a while to anchor a bubble but a dictor can drop one in a few seconds. An anchorable bubble relies on someone stumbling into it while an interdiction sphere can be use to actively catch people -So says Xindi Kraid

1) Any ship that can use and deploy one 2) U will stop warping at the rim but u will get dragged into it, u cannot warp out unless u are out of it! 3) Depends if its large/med/small 4) No.

Anchorable is best for long term and permanent gatecamps. Interdiction bubbles and the interdiction field of HIC's are better for pinning someone in place outside of those camps, or ad hoc camps (or even as stopgap measure while the permanent bubble anchors).
A HIC can also tank damage better than an anchorable bubble.
