What do we get? those most prominent in collecting pieces of the cadaver and by awarding all pilots of the winning race a favorable standing with the Jove Empire.

CCP are liars.
The word was those submitting the buy orders would get cloaking bpcs ahead of general release. Since black ops frigs and cloaking (respectively) comes out next castor patch, which is afaik something like next tuesday, how is "in a few weeks" supposed to be ahead of general release?
I mean, uhm, by the time we get the free bpc from CCP, the damned things are already going to be available to everyone, OR, they'll delay the release of cloaking for the billionth time - release it to the jove part sellers then release it to the general public a few weeks later.. which could take over a month.
Damn Jovians, damn CCP, I knew nothing good of this would come.
My other question:
How on earth did Caldari win if they only had a few more batches filled than the gallente, when Caldari are in the majority population. Are there any specific stats of who gave what? Was population size even taken into account on how many batches a race would need to win?

ahh, but we aren't a terribly large majority over gallente, thats why we still won, you are in a relatively close second.
Edit:
as far as the cloaking, we will see, lets see how they implement it before we get excited about how they screwed us over.

umm you know caldari are lik 30% of the population right? and gallente are like 15.... so yeah.

if caldari were 30 and gallente 15, that would leave 55%, which would mean amarr or minmatar would have to be more than gallente,and i believe gallente are in fact second, though there is always a chance(albeit small) that i am wrong. i am fairly sure that gallente and caldari are closer than that in numbers.

ok, numbers, copy pasted straight from some dev or others post:
Amarr: 16%
Caldari: 35%
Gallante: 27%
Minmatar: 21%
those numbers are from around may 19, shouldn't have changed a whole bunch

i stumbled on this too, from Talisman - "Now, the empire that fulfills the highest number of buy back orders will win a favor from the Jovians. The number of completed orders will be modified by the number of characters for each race, for instance there are ca. twice as many Caldari characters as there are Amarr characters, so the Caldari have to complete more than twice as many orders than the Amarrians to win."

For those individuals that are complaining about cloaking rollout: bpcs/skills for cloaking and what-have-you will probably be handed out very soon after the patch, but that doesn't mean that it'll be put on the R&D agent lottery queue. Indeed, given that the lottery queue is updated seperately, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't for another few weeks before said items enter full production.

Cloaking is almost useless anyway, unless we get the full set of specialized cloaking modules. If you ask me the cloaking bp was a pretty shoddy prize, at least the miner 2 bp was useful.

There's more gallentians than Caldarians, hence cerebral slice being more rare than liver bile. And the number each empire had to collect was set by number of players, so all had an equal and fair shot at it. Anyways gg :)

this is a huge joke. comparing the amount of liver bile collected by the caldari with the amount of cerebral slices collected by the gallente, gallente win. since when did this become a ridiculous competition for epidermis? i'm disgusted and feel jibbed by this whole exercise.

i think this is stupid, realy think about it, if the caldari are many more, than obvious ccp made it so each batch was worth less, but dont you think that the simple fact taht there are more caldarians in game already changes a lot of things, besides they being the empire with the most parts?

Congratulations are in order for the Caldari that put aside there differences and doanted isk, parts and a great deal of their time to the State.
We won because we didnt whine. When asked for Isk, Loyal Caldaris gave without question. When asked for parts, they worked tirelessy to bring them from all corners of the uninverse and when ask to dedicate their time, they did so without thought of individual profit.
This unique set of qualities tipifies the Caldari and in my mind the win was much deserved - it was NOT given to us, we earnt it.
Once again congratulations to all Caldaris and to all of the other races for the "fair" and good spirited race we had.

I dunno I find it hard to beleive that the Caldari fulfilled almost twice as much as the Gallente. And if there is inconsistancies on the value of the batches that the Caldari handed in compared to the ones the Gallente had to hand in, I demand this event void.
Im just waiting to see the numbers before I jump to any conclusions.
