see topic... Well, the overview was broken several patches ago, when the tabs were introduced. The tabs never worked correctly - not even on the test servers. Can't you return the overview to the way it was before that patch? And please, don't bring things into the game anymore that are broken and behaving not even closely to the intended way! --- "Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind." -Terry Pratchett |

You are not saying HOW its broken, and also not making clear what is not working.. No one can do anything about "It does not work"....!
I did not notice anyhting not working with this tabs, and a lot of others did not complain in the forum, so i doubt if its a common, and solvable, problem.
Maybe you can post a screendump of this 'not working' somewhere? (to clarify your problem) -- JSkywalker |

To create tabs you must first create custom overview settings, save them and then load the saved settings to a tab.
If you're having problems with overview you should first clear your cache and settings. If the problem still continues with fresh cache and settings you should file a bug report. (Read the Creating bug reports thread first)
With a good description of the problem, clear and detailed reprodution steps, screenshot(s), logserver log and dxdiag file we can more easily identify the problem you're having.

Originally by: ISD BH Inganam If you're having problems with overview you should first clear your cache and settings
The ultimate solution to all UI problems.
Note how they don't say "You WILL have problems" or even "you MAY have problems" or more correctly "you ARE VERY LIKELY TO have problems" if you are reusing your settings from the last patch. Also note how they say "cache AND settings" to hide the fact that it's an issue with the settings and not the cache (which, unlike the settings, is completely disposable)
The strategy behind this is quite simple:
1. The patch process does not delete your settings. Doing so would **** off 100% of the community, because they all would have to redo their overview settings.
2. The patch process apparently does not migrate your settings, or it doesn't do it correctly. This is a bug, but CCP won't admit it. Nevertheless, the problems that result of this only **** off 10% of the community rather than 100%.
(Yes, the "10%" are purely fictional. The real number is something < 100% and > 0%, and has no impact on the validity of what I said above)
3. If you are having problems, they tell you (yes, YOU in particular. To make you look like an idiot in front of the community) that U MUST DELETEZ UR SETTINGS AFTER PATCH N00B LOLOLOL! In a nicer way of course, but the community repeat it like sheep to anyone who complains about bugs in the UI. It has been widely accepted now that we have to delete our settings with every patch.
NOTE to Inganam: I know you are an ISD, not a dev. I don't blame you for telling us what you are supposed to tell us. |

you have to clear you cache and keep it clear while testing your overview settings (not logging in helps)
if you can do that, then (maybe then) we might take your plea seriously
but seriously now, we all know clearing the cache almost never solves any problems (besides the "fitting window is stuck on the bottom and can't be moved/resized/closed")
