can someone give me one? ----------------------------------------------- I saw god the other day. By the river on a rainey afternoon. He helped a kitten that was left all alone. Its a god that only I can see. A blackened angel that came down from the heavens just for me. |

It always depends on the situation you face. For example, sometimes dampeners can be better than jammers. It's also always good to have some intel on your enemy so that you can fit 3-4 race specific jammers, a sensor booster and stuff like that. Personally I try to avoid multi spectrals for smirkishes because they're going to drain your cap fairly quickly. Different story in fleet battles, chain-jamming other people works quite good there. As I've said, it always depends on the situation you face. Generally as a supportship, as you've asked, I'd go for 3 dampeners, a sensor booster, an mwd, a large shield booster, 2 Cprs and 3 H-50 with cruise missiles or torps. That works fine till Tues/Thursday. Work in a team, someone else, probably a frigate, should handle the scrambling/web.

Edited by: Grimpak on 12/06/2004 19:52:21 as JoCool said, it depends on the situation. Although I prefer to use the BB in fleet battle situations where my setup is more usefull (mix of damps + remote boosters). Jammers are better in other situations, but as JoCool said again, or you have a good inteligence on the fleet composition, or fit multispectrals, and you have cap problems in your hand. Dampners don't have that problem, but they tend to be more usefull against battleships where the range+scan penalty rez that the damp makes, can prove to be very efective... just don't use damps on a frig tho... they still will be able to target kinda fast, although the range might be reduced. -------------------

I find that in almost any situation I can just use gravimetric ECM... given that one out of every 2 battleships I'm up against is Caldari... and 90% of the interceptors out there are Caldari as well.
