well its everything the developers said it would be but nothing the hype said it would be, its a good game all in all if you like creating things then you will love spore, you can basically play it for a good 70 years and not see the same planet twice as it creates content on the fly i belive and it takes stuff other players uploaded as one of the deves said.
but its more of a lighthearted game so if your looking to be able to massicre your enemy and enslave the remaining population then spore probably isnt for you

It's ok, as always the hype makes it feel mediocre and somewhat lacklustre. One you get over that though it will suck you in.
It's a nice, chilled out gaming experience imho.

I haven't gotten to play the game yet. Me and my wife looked into it, and we've decided to wait till it comes down in price.
Personally, the only real disappointment I've seen is the fact that it doesn't matter where you put the upgrades. It's all just stats. That's a disappointment to me, at least.

Currently installing a legit copy...
'd it, and played it through to space stage. Quite fun, especially if you like to mess around in the creature creator.
Basic stats stuff when building the creatures and vehicles, which is nice as it encourages variety.
Very much a middle-ground intelligence, easy going game. Though I think I've barely scratched the space stage....terra forming is difficult to start off with.
Obviously, I found it worth the buy.
'The Spice must flow' hehe...

Already bored with the gate, i really like the first stage, but the creature stage is my favorite.
Its too bad it ends far far too quick for my liking, and its severely limited.
I love making new creatures so ill keep playing till i get bored eventually with that
