Edited by: Jaehaerys on 07/09/2008 19:48:46 Okay, so it's pretty obvious SOMETHING has gone quite wrong since this new patch.
Dodixie and its surrounding areas are impossible to play in. Grids don't load, modules lag, everything is broken. I'm STILL trying to sell some mission loot but I can't seem to load my cargo hold or item windows.
What the hell happened? I've never seen it this bad, even in Jita. I've played on weekends before, and yes sometimes it gets a bit slow - but this is a whole new level I'm dealing with here.
oh yeah and what happened to the "copy url" option?

It's not restricted to Dodixie, but from what i've seen so far, it's one of the worst hit places. Jita with 700 in local is less laggy than Dodixie with 250 in local, and only a few of those are actually running missions. -----

I realize it's not just Dodixie, that's just where I happen to be at the moment.
My sell orders finally went through btw.

Ah, I see CCP have played to their strengths in applying the hi-sec nerf.

It is noticeable. CCP needs to check the code for redundant checks. Perhaps the new concord-doken scripting (being more reactive than it once was) is over checking it a bit. Any 0.0 pilots feeling the chug?

Considering that this lag is across the board in security sectors, and the new concord doken/security status comparison sliding scale thingie, still works in 0.1 and above, my money is on the scripting over checking and over analizing stuff that isnt happening. Perhaps the script is checking too often and when it shouldn't, causing overall slowdown of mamoth proportions since its checking everyone in those sectors and what they are doing...

So, what give you the authority to make this an official thread? Endorsed by CCP in some way?
Problem: People crowd togeather. Solution: Spread people out or make a limit to the number of players on any node.
Since CCP will not limit any systems, you have to live with the lag or move out.

Yeah there is lag. Just so long as i'm not getting disconnected and server 'unknown' then i'm not bothered.
If Jita is a bother, then ignore it!
You get far better prices in Sobraseki anyhow.

It's not like (at least this time) people are asking for any favors from CCP. CCP markets EVE as a "massively multiplayer" game, therefore it seems quite reasonable for paying customers to expect CCP's network to be up to the task.

First they came for the NOS, I did not speak up for I did not use NOS. Then they came for the suiciders, I did not speak up for I did not suicide. Then they came for the nanos, I did not speak up for I did not use nanos. Then they came for the lag, by that time there was noone left to speak up.

I had a lot of issues yesterday with the overview, market window, character window, modules not activating etc. (not to mention my overview changing places every damn time I docked or un-docked) Granted I live in Hawaii and all the internet here goes through cable to the mainland but prior to the patch I didn't have these issues at all. I would either have a decent connection or none at all (Hawaii drops the net at least once every other week or so).
Gaming Computer, Cable Internet and close to the main trunk-line.
I suspect that CCP let some bad code through and it's loading the servers. I can trace to ccp (under 75 m/s response times) w/o noticable lag, but servers are still lagging with only 27.3k players on.

I am really very sorry to do this mate but
I have no problems missioning in and around Dodixiw, qw run lvl 4's In Dodixie, Aunia and bawilian and mine in Mirilene and we get minmal lag, i get maybe 2-6 second module delays sumtimes but the majority of the time the lag is fine.
If you are getting major lag issues i suggest you get a faster connection, a better graphics card or a better pc al together, im sorry again but you are talking out your ass, the only place i have found lag mental was in fleet fights of 500 or more and Jita
Again sorry but im not having whiners ***** about problems that dont exist
