Chalk it down to experience.
You could always train the trade skill that allows you to sell remotely and just place the items you bought onto sell orders and maybe even make a profit. -

That skill is Marketing.
I did the same thing on a couple items, only on purpose, and now I've learned never to do region-wide orders. :P I say sell it in place (even if you have to take a loss it's better time-wise). Alternately if you're bored, grab a hauler and start jumping.

Edited by: valeronx on 08/09/2008 05:41:00 Yeah, not that I've ever been a bit bored and flown to every station in my home region selling 300 - 500 units of minerals to someone...even taking a Cov-Ops into the low sec / gate camped systems..... but you really want to be careful with region wide buy orders.
Lesson learned Miss, welcome to EVE.

Region wide orders are ok only if you setup minimum quantit per sale and item is valuable. That way you won't end up with 1-10 units of items in far station.

OR you can just continue to place this regionwide order and move product as it becomes worthwhile for you to bother.

Ouch nasty. I set up a 5 system wide buy order and that was bad enough.
Chalk it up to experience and in future put on minimum quantities that make it worth while collecting in the first place.
On the positive side though at least the order will more than likely be filled.

When the order is finished, just remote sell back to market all that are in small amounts per solar system (not station).

about stupid buy orders, I was very lucky ones, because my buy order didnt go trough. I was gonna set up a buy order for 100mill trit at the price of 1,7 What i did was instead of setting in the price first i set in the amount in the price field, so i set the price of trit to 100mill pr trit, then in the amount field i set the price 1,7. luckily the system dont accept 1,7 quantities, so i got an error msg if not then i would have bought 1 trit for 100mill think how much that would have sucked.
