I don't really mind if he's in there or not; don't have any gripe against him, Goons or anyone else. I think during the last year CCP clearly learnt what people want and how they react if they don't like it. So even if he or any other CSM member would try to push them into doing something only a small population of Eve wants (even if it would be one or two of the bigger/biggest alliances), would people accept it?
It's not like they're deciding on stuff in secret and we won't hear about it till right before it goes live. Always remember CSM is thought to speak for the players, maybe suggest or comment on some things, but they aren't devs. They won't be able to decide any single thing. I participated in similar positions in other games, it's always been like "what do you think of this?" "what would you do?" "what do people think about latest changes?", etc. In fact, only sitting there and stating stuff like "Please do X!" or "Why don't you x, y and z?" while discussion a completely different issue or approach has been a sure thing to get you "fired" from your position.
So how about waiting? Let's see how he's doing, if things go wrong direction and you disagree, discuss about it, tell them, organize a second Jita shooting riot or whatever. I'm usually not really interested in CSM actions (too busy with work stuff and everything), but hasn't he been part of the last CSM, too? Wouldn't say he did particularly bad then.

Seriously, while this might be true for most cases, there indeed can be nasty edge cases where people talk about it, but then even do (or try) it.
Maybe you missed it, but in some other, much bigger MMO people already killed each other over some virtual items that got stolen.
I'm not saying you can't scam or mock someone as long as it stays reasonable and the other player can handle it (even if he rages a bit). It's not about that random guy claiming something he definitely won't do. It's about those very few cases, who will do it.
