Edited by: YuuKnow on 13/06/2004 23:04:40 If I have full insurance on a ship and I eject from it and let someone else fly it around for a couple of days and then jump back into it, is the insurance now void because someone else has flown it?
I'm asking because a corpmate of mine were talking about trading ships for a little while and the question came up.....
Here's the message that the insurance give you when you first click it:
The selected item will be insured while in your possesion for the duration of the contract. Repackaging the item will void the contract. The contract will be considered void if the item or ship is destroyed while being in the possesion of somebody else. Do you accept the above terms and still want to insure the selected item?
Does that mean that if anyone else ever possess the insurance is voided? I'm just paranoid.

No, i believe it just means that if you're not in possesion of it when it's destroyed your insurance is then invalidated.
Does anyone know if two people can have insurance on the one ship?

No two people can insure the ship afaik.
If you insure it and loan it out, and the loaner insures it too, your insurance should get deleted since the insurance is couped to the item. Afaik an item can only be insured by one persoan at a time.
Insurance is void when: someone else then the guy that insured it gets killed in it, the item gets repackaged

You can insure the ship with the corp, then anyone who uses it is covered and the corp gets the payout if destroyed. but answering your question, you will always be covered when operating the ship if you insured it. ____________ Sex / Rank 9 / SP: 1280 of 2304000

Unless you repackaged it at any time between buying the insurance and getting your ship destroyed... -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs

To insure ships in the corp hangar, just go to insurance and any ships in the corp hangar should appear on the list. I'm not sure what roles need to be given to a player for this to work, but as a Director or CEO it works.
