Anyway RL has caught up with me, as you all know I have one 18 month old in the house, another on the way and a job that just increased time demand 10 fold. As such you deserve better and someone who can put more time into it.
For those of you who say...its because BOB is here....*******s...I was here in vale when we lived out of POS... PURE is not a place as I said before and I wlll be around still
Anyway before I get more nostalgic and Emo...thank you to everyone of you for being amazing people to play this game with, without you i would have stoped 2 years ago. PLEASE stick together and look to the future...yes there is one
Katsina has stepped into the breach and will be taking over the running of PURE assisted, as per usual by the same cabinet including Siss, Machi, Hopss and Tad etc etc etc
Anyway..stay cool and please help Kats as best you can.

I wonder who this quote is form....
If that quote is true... why is it that everytime an alliance loses its space the leader makes up some crap about needing personal time, like it fools anyone.
Like Sir Molle when the Delve invasion started?
(Couldn't resist)but was thinking same as what you said.
you see Iron does not leech off a suger daddy (bob) to make its way through eve or define itself as an entity. -Gneeznow 2008.08.27 |

I'm pretty sure Molle was there during the whole NOL campaign.

Molle was running on coffee, cookies and a glass of scotch, and having what was probably the EVE time of his life... My views are my own. They do not represent the views of my corporation or alliance. |

It's not like anyone ever needs personal time right ?
Usually it's because they've needed the personal time for months anyway, and it's easy to get when you don't actually have to do anything, once the game starts demanding attention is when you actually realise that life is important and it's just a game. Some people never get that life is important and for them I feel only pity.
You realistically can't hold down a fulltime job and real life AND be running an alliance well.

Actually, you can. You just have to be efficient at using your time, and have a good command staff to help you out. What it is with most alliances though is that their leaders know their alliance is shit. Most of the NC leadership have known thier alliances are shit for a long time now, and they also knew that this day is going to come eventually, and have planned for it. They probably wanted to jump ship for a very long time now to a better alliance where they can just relax as a regular member. Somewhere they can play with people like themselves and quit dealing with their shitty carebears and farmers, but the amount of ISK they are making forces them to stay until an unstoppable force like BoB comes along and frees them of thier shackles and they can be free to quit and join a real alliance. This is why you see so many leaders of dead alliances joining BoB, because the leadership are generally good players that are fairly hardcore, it is thier shitty members that ruin thier alliance.

Taking credit for running an alliance isn't the same thing. If you're not available all the time, you can't make all the decisions that need to be made, if you aren't making the decisions you aren't running the alliance. There are advantages to multiple people running things, in that other people can make the decisions, but nothing is as strong as an alliance that can have all the decisions made on the spot and followed without question. Even bad decisions made and followed quickly can be one hell of alot better than a good decision that takes a week to make.

Working hard or working long hours doesn't make a leader 'good' in any way. These abilities can at most cover up a leaders faults until the brown organic matter hits the high-speed spinning machinery.
Being able to design and implement a command structure so the leader doesn't NEED to work hard/long is where a person shows he is a leader.
It also helps a lot if there person in knowledgeable, likable, honest, loyal, competent, and leading from the front!

That way he can bullshit / pretend he's successful and has perfect knowledge whatever happens while remaining totally anonymous Nothing new but then again it's a good setup at the same time.
Did you post with your NC alt purely so you could respond to it? Amusing.
Actually, *I* don't have an NC alt. I was talking from a collective, corp perspective.
And I've stopped playing on the GBC alt because MAX is so incredibly dull right now. Not helped by the fact you lot are in failcascade mode and can't even hold your Sov 4 systems securely with 120 man fleets when a small nanogang comes to play.
Ultimately, your strength was numbers. Now you don't have those and all the inherent weaknesses I said you had are coming to the fore.
Enjoy your moon income whilst you can ;)
i will ****ing kill you when i see you... (in game)
mmmm NC tears..
