The stuff I stumble upon the most:
- Slot management At the bottom of the blueprint tab it shows how many slots I can use. Honestly, I know that. How many of these I already use would be much more helpful.
- Materials Overview at installation (a) don't make it block everything (b) make it copyable! Neither eidetic memory nor pen/paper are desirable options to actually know what is missing once the market is open. Sometimes one even needs to evemail the missing stuff to someone.
- Invention success popup Fluffy text and all. Noone cares. Really. Make it like welcome pages so everyone can disable it after the first 20 inventions.
- Mobile Lab / Assembly Hangars (a)If I need to be within 5000m of the mobile lab/assembly array for its hangar to appear within the S&I corp blueprint interface, I don't need it at all. By then, I can simply open it. (b)One gets the icon to open the hangar at 5000m but until 3000m, you don't get a listing of the contents. ARGH!
- Build Packages In an ideal world, producing a blueprint at an assembly array within the solar system would take the materials from the station's corphangar and drop only the finished product in the POS allowing for one central raw material deposit which is remotely accessible (corp assets window). Seeing as this probably won't happen because of POS attack & loot issues - let us prepare 'build packages' in the station. These would contain the blueprint and all the materials needed to produce a certain amount of runs with it. So once I haul this single item package to the POS, I know for sure that nothing is missing and nothing will be left over (so we need to be able to select the assembly line type). BPCs with left-over runs and BPOs drop alongside the produced stuff in the structure hangar. It is important for these to show up in the S&I window when they are at the POS and I'm 17 jumps away, so that I can see "ah, in Rapid Assembly Array V three jobs are finished and there are another five 10-run packages inside" at which point I can then remotely build another three. This should be in addition to the current functionality, not replace it as it is very nice for invention output BPCs but one probablt would want to keep BPOs in station.
Sorting and packaging the materials, distributing them into multiple assembly arrays and keeping notes which array contains which materials for how many runs of which product so one can remotely build from BPCs inside a corp office is the single most annoying timesink for me.
- Batch Processing Here are 10 BPCs. Here are datacores for 10 BPCs. There are 10 free invention slots. Go.
- Invention Queue The main limiting factor for an industrialist is realtime. How much goods you can produce is simply limited by the time a day has and the amounts of slots you can use in parallel. So avoiding your slots idling around is crucial. Ever tried to saturate your capacities with 1h15min module invention jobs? Why not change the "x slots global" limit to a "x slots active" limit when using your corp's pos facilities? With a 121 job queue behind that "active" limit, one could schedule 15 hours of 11-slots-in-parallel invention. -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |
