Hello....i'm fairly new to the game (about 2 and a half months) and i'm currently doing L3 missions to save some money so I can buy some implants, and then start saving for a BS. What I was wondering is.... is it better to buy an arma first, and then get the apoc later? Or....just go for the apoc from the get-go? I have approximately 2 million skill points if that matters.... |

Depends on what you want to use them for, but neither one is the wrong choice.
Armageddon is a solid ship, dont let anyone tell you otherwise. ____________ Sex / Rank 9 / SP: 1280 of 2304000

I would say armageddon, you can get a solid setup with modest skills, get an apoc when you have 4-5 million skill points.

Edited by: Caeneus on 14/06/2004 04:18:36 I still have my Armageddon, not only better looking than an Apoc ( ) but they are a very solid ship. The people who tend to put them down are either uber elites or prefer more fitting options for their PVP vessel.
Worst point of the Armageddon is the lack of missle launchers, but you get used to it and can adapt. I tend to take the missles rather than play about and avoid them!
But yeah, geddon is a good investment, and the 7 high slots will make mining for the apoc easier.
Can't think of anything witty to put here. |

Coming this patch, my best suggestion for Armaggedon users is to learn armor tanking. The ship lends itself naturally on this with its high hitpoints, high powergrid and high number of low slots, the most of the game. Armor tanking also eases up on cap use, midslots, and CPU requirments, the last two being the Armaggedon's weakness. As an armor tanker, an Armaggedon can be a good PvP ship. _______________________________________________ "Is it me or the bad guys just getting totally pathetic?"---Clover, Totally Spies, "Hope is wasted on the Hopeless."---Mandy, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.
