Totally agree. CCP should be taking him out of CSM altogether and he should be left with a feeling that he's lucky he still has his accounts.
People have been banned for less.

I have to agree, you and I - especially during voting week (hey what happens in voting week stays in voting week) - haven't agreed on much, but we agree on this.
This kind of predatory behavior shouldn't be tolerated.
It's akin to watching a Rodney King tape - the fact that the beating was psychological and not physical doesn't make it any less evil.
CCP shouldn't be just sitting on the sidelines saying "Oh the EULA and TOS weren't breached" on this one either. My EVE YouTube Channel |

I do wonder if this is something to do with the culture of the United States, or if its a global concept. Yes he stuffed up but he did it on camera to a large audience in front of a large audience. I do actually feel sorry for the guy but worry about the future. ^^^This People found it hilarious. Gianturco was in no way shape or form "joking" or just blurting out drunken nonsense. The dude was tipsy but he was not falling out smashed.
More of ^^this.
It was premeditated, and is very in-character for him - everyone knows it, it's indefensible which I would imagine is why we haven't heard from him at all.
It has far more to do wtih his culture, attitude and personality than whether or not someone should find it acceptable behaviour. I find it extremely amusing that more goons pile onto the forums TO DEFEND THE BEHAVIOUR. Only once again showing - the culture.
Lets face it, I haven't seen the US start wars with China like they have with every 3rd world country that couldn't fight back. It's entirely cultural to prey on the weak. My EVE YouTube Channel |

Elise Randolph wrote:We do agree that the CSM is not a "popularity contest" and it is in fact best utilized as a communication tool between the players and CCP. Going out as a lone wolf with a megaphone and a soap box is fine as an individual, but while representing a greater body tact and communication are vital. I look forward to working with you, but please take the leap and join us so you can communicate with the CSM without blindly throwing us under the bus.
And yet you still cannot bring yourselves to give any negative feedback about your imperious leader - did he display the poise and tact that you're accusing Issler of now not having? I notice you'll do THAT publically.
Guess it'll be another year of "no shade between us".

Mittens / Alex did something really dumb and I've no doubt there will be consequenses. I'm not asking anyone to 'just react' to it,what I would like to see is open, honest and clear opinions from individual CSM reps. What I don't think is good for the CSM is closing ranks and keeping things secret till you release a joint blanket statement, which is what appears to be happening !
[/quote]
^^ This.
What happened was a matter of personal degredation and it happaned because of a lack of character by the CSM Chair.
Now what people are wondering is ... are the rest of them like that?
Closing ranks and issuing a joint statement says "yes".

While The Mittani made a drunken mistake and will undoubtedly pay for it, no matter how idiotic the entire situation is, Issler is using it for political grandstanding. The issue is not that Issler made a statement, the issue is that she threw her teammates under the bus while doing so.
And I'm guessing this metaphoric bus was being driven by a high level wizard?

Quote:Yeah, because that's why people are in such a rage about this whole "scandal", my has nothing to do with people using this guy as a tool to get back at Mittani.
It's nothing to do with Mittani, however easily it might be perceived to be.
I would be JUST AS HAPPY if CCP gave mittani a warning and told everyone that such behaviour wouldn't be tolerated, and people won't get warnings they will get banned.
The problem right now is the whole "oh you can't say that without us all sitting in skype getting our stories straight" attitude that the CSM is relatively famous for. They worked fairly hard to get rid of the stigma of all being known to "agree on absotively everything" last CSM with pretty much the same people involved all led by - yep the same guy.
And how dare someone stand up and say that the behaviour shouldn't be tolerated - and let's face it - it's an individual character assessment at this point not a CSM stance - without first having checked with Mittani on skype.

I don't agree with statements that he should get banned or perma banned as some people have called for but if he gets away free from this the rage will be so great as to make the "Summer of Rage" look like a storm in a tea kettle. When I first saw this it was really nothing but now it's so massive there will be no forgetting or forgiving.
I think one thing that is totally funny about this whole thing is that a week ago a few of us couldn't agree on anything in the CSM voting fortnight, and this has totally polarized many of us - we're in total agreement.

People need to learn to forgive and forget - and let the CSM do their job. People were mad at Mittens before this; they were mad at Mittens during the presentation; they were mad at Mittens while the CSM announcement was made; and they'll continue to be mad at him. The kind of witch-hunt that has grown out of his misstep more and more has the air of people finally getting a tiny gripping point that they can try to pry on to get some kind of release for all that anger and a sliver of hope that maybe they can hurt himGǪ and that's why what they're doing is no better than what he did. The thread in response to the actual presentation and statement, compared to the furious flood of threads that came after he had been re-elected, makes it abundantly clear that this is no longer a matter of what he said or did, and has everything to do with politics and getting revenge.
This is just about stomping on a particular type of behaviour outside of the game. It wouldn't matter who had done this.
The fact that it was Mittani speaks more to the fact that people disliked him FOR THE RIGHT REASONS.
if you wish to try and pronounce that this was a "tiny gripping point" that's fine. I can see how the tiny brains of the fellow sociopaths that follow mittani can see it that way.
If you wish to see how the world sees it, merely check out your local gaming site to read what they have to say about it - certainly they have ALL picked up on it by now. Showing that it is not some "tiny gripping point".
Grow the **** up guys.

We all know what really went on in CSM Skype.
Trebor was sitting behind his dungeon master screen, rolls some dice.
Seleene is yelling about how he's casting heal spells on mittani's wizard.
Trebor calmly turns to mittani "About your wizard dude"
"He..."
"He didn't make it."
Personally, I'd want to make sure everyone had signed their NDA too. My EVE YouTube Channel |

Well after watching the evetv interview of Trebor, he looks like the guy rolling dice behind the dungeon master screen telling you your paladin is dead.

I have to say I think it was refreshing to hear Issler say something about this.
The issue here wasn't what the CSM as a body thought of what Mittani had done. This was purely an individual character assessment. The fact that they had to come out as an organisation to say something about it doesn't say anything about them as people at all.
At least we know where Issler stands on it. CSM7 Skype Leak
