Is there something /particularly/ wrong with Jita over the last 48 hrs

Ralara Caldari Shadow Incursion	Posted - 2008.09.10 11:35:00 - [1] I have a market alt that sits in Jita. for the last two days I have not been able to log her in; all I get is the black screen with "Loading [name] Jita 4-4" etc. Now I am used to the 2-3 minute waits when logging into Jita; before I've had to petition to get her moved maybe once a month or so. But in the last 48 hours at 7am, 10am, just before DT, just after DT, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm, midnight and 1am (all the times I've tried) I have sat there for 15 minutes or more - evenup to 40 minutes at one point and had to give up because I simply can't log her in. I know Jita isn't "dead" because evemon is telling me that my wallet is going up in value (presumably people are buying from my sell orders... yay!) so others can seem to get there fine. I've filed one stuck petition yesterday and I was moved to Perimeter. I flew to Jita and docked at 4-4 with no delays, no noticible lag issues... I traded a bit, logged out and logged in within 30 seconds only to be confronted with the black screen again. So the issue is with logging in rather than 4-4 - I can get there from an external system fine, just can't log into Jita itself. I know, I know... "don't log off in Jita" - I'm used to the normal amounts of lag and black screens but this is getting stupid - 40 minutes at 11pm should not be happening. Is anyone else having this issue? --

I can try to log in on 4-4 anytime of the day, anyday of the week. And im looking at a black screen. I wasn't going to post but now I feel like I should just to offset the ****heads. Given the complaints of weird lag all over eve since the patch, I would suspect that something on the backend has changed. Good, bad, who knows but it's evidently different. If I were you I would stuck petition and then see if you can enter via the gates. Maybe they've introduced some new bug that leaves characters in an unrecoverable (without GM assistance) state. But yeah, Jita being hammered right after downtime on a friggen Wednesday is a bit stupid. On another note, why not do most your Jita trading from one system over? Alieviates the need for logging off there which, imho, is never a good idea. Sig removed, inappropriate content. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint

Whiner... whiner ? yup, but so are you for saying it. im sorry to think about more than just myself and my 5 pieces of trit. make a trip every week or month instead, if everyone did that the trade hubs wouldnt be such a nightmare and you knows it.

Once I'm back in, I think I'll go 1 jump out again until whatever's causing this is resolved. --

Well, I don't think people are going to put too much stock in anything you have to say on the matter; you're an "alt" who wont post with his/her main account (and I can see why, if those kinds of posts are indicative of what you represent or your corp, I'd be surprised if your CEO hasn't gagged you already :p), you throw personal insults at strangers - which might be more effective if you could spell correctly, bringing me to point three - you can't spell correctly :p. You also seem to lack the knowledge of how/why Jita actually lags (hint: it's got a lot to do with the fact that multiple agents send people to do missions there; 800 people, some doing missions with 30-100 NPCs each, the people coming to buy, the fighting outside the stations etc - that causes lag. The market people don't cause a lot of lag; at last a far smaller proportion due to the fact that our database queries don't require updating every second with the hundreds of permutations it has to calc when you're flying around / in combat. So that, combined with the above three points, pretty much make whatever you have to say about this topic null and void :-) --
