Aside from having a second account jumping ahead of you everywhere you go, what's the best way to "sneak" into 0.0?
Whether for exploration and personal edutainment or to ninja some rats?

If you just need to get there, and you don't have to move a ship or other stuff to 0.0, I'd say you go by capsule. Unless you hit a bubble camp, your safest shot is pod flight because the egg warps out instantly, giving potential hostiles no chance to lock and scramble, and that includes instalocker ceptors or af's. Usually only the first 0.0 systems are camped, even though you're likely to encounter other roamers, gate camps, or even large battles if you go to the hot zones. If you only want to rat, mine or trade, I could tell you of some places to go, but you'll have to convo me in game for that.

How cheap and how fast? (I'm relatively noob, so cheap and fast to me means T1 frigs ) Is taking on BS spawns in 0.0 with a frig even doable??
(And ty all for the responses)

It's definitely doable in a cruiser, I used to rat in a nearly fully T1 fit (rep was T2) rupture. The main problem was ammo.

You need a battleship with a full Crystal/pith a-type tank to last long enough to get away from a gate camp. ----- - Stork DK, Synthetic Frontiers CEO |

Frigate won't do the trick, too little DPS. A T1 cruiser does the job just fine, however, and is preety dirt cheap if/when you lose it.

i shall be possible to warp even in a bubble while u r in pod. i have no right idea coz i dont like 0.0 space.
and - pod is hard in low sec at least before u reach 0.0 space - i offten pass low in pod (coz i cant enter that many high sec sys in ship anyway) - and got pwned twice that we by smarties (no, not in rancer )

best way to do it...scout with an alt. Most all entries to 0.0 are chokepoints and heavily camped at times. Find a time when they ARE NOT camped, bring ur ratting ship through and be sure to scout ur way forward with that same alt to your destination. _____________________

Why do assume you have to get an alt to have a scout? Get a friend/hire somone to scout you. Two real people will be better than one person dual accounting. This is a multiplayer game, make use of that fact.

Well if you're wanting to rat fit a BC or BS with a cloak and your normal armaments and find an entry point which is least camped (hint: there is url that will show you kills by system in the last hour *end hint) then enter this system (good if you have an alt scout that can jump first) Then go rat. If someone or a gang enters local, warp off to a safe and cloak until they leave. Most in 0.0 will get bored quickly and stop looking for someone who cloaks. Also some people anchor secure cans in a location to put ammo/loot in.

Ah, so they're supposed to do the dirty work and risk their ship, as crappy as it may be, to save your useless ass?

Belive it or not some ships are better at scouting than others, think covert ops.

Why waste anybody's time when you can easily use an alt to do it.

1) Get enough standing with one of the corps to get jumpclones. (Or use one of the multitudes of corps that will provide the service) 2) Install a jumpclone somewhere..jump to it.. no implants in that head. 3) Sneak a ship though. The cloak warp trick will work unless you hit a bubble camp. (use eve-search if you wanna know and its ) 4) In the hold of your ship..have a BPO for whatever ammo you need, modules you need, and a few BPC's for the ships you want to use. 5) Find a station with medical, set your med clone out there. 6) Rat and loot. Reprocess said loot for minerals to build ammo and replacement ships. 7) When you are tired of getting your sec up..jump clone back to empire. Set your med clone back somewhere in empire.
Getting your loot out of 0.0 and back into empire can be problematic. But if it was easy everyone would be doing it.
I rat in the cesspool of 0.0...syndicate. Getting in and out is relatively easy as the main gate isn't perma-camped on off hours. And you can rat rather well there in a T1 fit vexor (no ammo).
For syndicate ratting, it goes like this:
2xMedium Nos,Tractor,2xSalvager 10mn Afterburner, Warp Disruptor, Stasis Webifier Medium Armor Rep, Kin Hardener, Thermal Hardener, 800mm plate. 6xhobgoblin 2xOgre 2xHammerhead
Peel the hobs out, take out anything smaller than a battlecruiser with'em. Orbit one of the bigger ships at about 8k with the afterburner going, web and nos it. Take the hobs back in, take out the bigger boys and start chewing on everything else but the one you're orbiting. (you are using it as a big battery) Salvage and loot as you go.
Its a slow-ish way to rat. But your wallet will feel much better after an hour. And if you get popped/podded..who cares? You've more than likely made up more isk than you sunk into your adventure. (10 average battleship spawns in the crap 0.0 thats in syndicate should net you what you spent on ships drones and clone)
Don't forget to set your med clone out in 0.0...Otherwise when you get podded your jump clone will end up in empire..which kind of defeats the purpose of getting a jump clone in the first place. (conversely, don't forget to set your med clone back in empire when you get back...having to pay to update your clone just to pod your ass back to empire again kind of sucks)
Have fun storming the 0.0 castle. --

Cheapest way to sneak a BC or BS into 0.0: know who camps where and when.
For example, using the south: N-RAEL can be heavily camped during Russian prime time, but is relatively desolate at other times ever since r0adkill and friends were evicted. Doril is guaranteed to be camped during prime US hours, but can be empty-ish around downtime. HED-GP and surrounds can be heavily camped at any time, or empty at any time.
Set an untrained alt's medical clone close to the chokepiont and just fly in to get a feel for when the pipes are clogged with the killboard stat hungry and when they finally succumb to sleep.
After you get a hop or two past the pipe just change your map stats to display pilots in the last hour, fit a MWD+cloak and proceed accordingly. Don't go anywhere with a big number of pilots and you'll be fine.
Easiest way to get a combat ship in to ninja rat: friendly carrier pilot, covops.

Go to CVA space. Entry point is in Misaba/R3-k7k(sp?). They don't camp the gate and do not shoot neutrals.
They do charge for station entry but its not too much.

Don't try to sneak.. most areas have intel channels and you will be reported and found. Providence is your best bet. CVA don't shoot neutrals.. but pirates go there to shoot ratting neuts. Nyoro~N |

The easiest way to get around in 0.0 is in a covops ship. If you are fitted for speed and a covops cloak you should never get killed.

You don't sneak into 0.0
You get in the fastest ship you can, put on a blindfold, and run through screaming

To live in hostile 0.0.:
Required materials:
- Expendable scout frigate (cloak, 1mn mwd, istabs) - Hac for ratting (with mwd and cloak, sacrilege is quite good) - Blockade runner - Giant secure containers with spare ammo
1. Choose a quiet time, e.g. after dt on a weekday, whatever seems to work 2. Scout the first gate with scout ship, check any obvious chokepoints 3. If clear, take the blockade runner to the system where you want to settle (ideally within 8-10 jumps for now) 4. Deploy cans at ss, with all your nice spare ammo 5. Return with hac if coast is still clear 6. profit! You probably don't have to return to empire for weeks.

This. Do keep in mind that probers will find your cans and if they're smart will bookmark them for when you come online, so make use of your directional scanner. But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.
