Ever since the hardware upgrades. The forums now experience lag spikes all the time. Where you will click a link on the forums, and it will take 30 seconds to more than a minute long to actually load the url.
I browse forums for other games where their General Discussion will get ten times more posts in one day than this EVE site has gotten in all it's forum channels it's whole life time. And they don't have this much lag ever.
Maybe it's something CCP aint aware of?
Dunno.

And WTF is up with the forum topic getting removed when you edit your post?

It is probably related to the strange problems they are experiencing with the ingame servers?
The performance is unpredictable.
Not that I'm an expert on forums or anything.

I always thought how it was scary that the forums were onthe same host as the game servers, The forums go down when the servers go down etc it seems.
Maybe with the recent news of the hardware upgrades you have alot more lurkers around, either past cancelled subscribers or just eve subscriber wannabees. Also maybe alot more subscribers are just in general around now and reading the forums.
I say close the forums to everyone not a subscriber. And if need be then to host them seperatly from the game servers if not already done.
