I strongly urge all players to contact the proper authorities at CCP to ban Mittani for his recent actions. Such actions should not be allowed whoever you are or how big your alliance is. The only reason why Mittani acts and does the things he does is because of how big goons are. I believe that his actions have broken the EULA rules and thus deserves a ban. |

Nope, I could not support any ban of Mittani. His 3 steps will be more than enough.
Once he finished his step 2 ... it will be time to move on.
Nothing clever at this time. |

He did the right thing and apologized. He resigned from CSM. I don't see any purpose to be served by a ban. Like them or not, the Goons have done a lot for the game, and Mittani is clearly a great player. I think this issue should be put to rest, as far as any issue on the forums ever is. |

He posted his apology here. It seems sincere.
Let CCP and the CSM now sort out how to handle an issue like this where the standard response to ban his account has significant ramifications for the democratic process wherein many thousand accounts voted for Mittani.
Ya, if I did what Mittani did I would expect to get a ban. But I am not expected to hold an elected position either. It's a tricky situation. Mittani is not above the rules, but his elected position puts him in a sort of limbo. If you remove him from office, a lot of people who voted (and those votes are directly tied to real subscription/PLEX money) are disenfranchised.
Just let the apology and the official processes, whatever they may be or may become, find the proper answer. |

This. The answer here is definitely not to engage in the same harassment that sparked this whole problem. |

Precisely, OP.
There's a question that's been on my mind lately: Why can't The Mittani state the facts straightforwardly without their being exaggerated, aggrandized, altered, fiddled with, dressed up, falsified, and, in short, The Mittani-ized? I mean, The Mittani's bons mots are contrary to international human rights and humanitarian standards. First things first: The Mittani's cause is not glorious. It is not wonderful. It is not good.
Because of The Mittani's eagerness to participate in riots, the picture I am presenting need not be confined to his nostrums. It applies to everything The Mittani says and does. So maybe he's known for venting his hatred at anyone who dares to rage, rage against the dying of the light. Big deal. What's more important is that he says that national-security interests can and should be sidestepped whenever his personal interests are at stake. Hey, The Mittani, how about telling us the truth for once? Now that you've reached the end of this post, let me leave you with the key take-away message: We must continue to monitor The Mittani's fans and expose them as the carnaptious drongos they are. |

If someone took an action as a CSM irl, they should be held accountable as a CSM irl. Person in question didn't violate the EULA in game. So there is no reason for them to be accountable in game.
Also, banning is a moot point because of ~alts~. |

We should also start banning everyone who wants to make their own Mittani thread. No other way that CCP is going to get GD until control other than shut the forum down for a week. Do you smell what the Lock's cooking? |

so should CCP start by banning everyone else too because if this is based on what his drunk ass said then maybe you should look at local or any chat channel in-game or listen to any voice coms in and out of game maybe you should read the forums eve online or any other and i could bet that not all are drunk when saying or writing those comments.
so should we also ask CCP to ban you i bet that you have said things or written things that someone would deem breaking the EULA. |

A very Big NO
The loss off the CSM is one thing but he didn't do anything in game to deserve a ban. Hellcity was banned for something stupid, I don't think we should ban The Mittani for a stupid thing said while he was drunk in real life. Any Spelling, gramatical and literary errors made by me are included free of charge. |

I wonder if Sony executives would feel the same way if his behaviour is linked to Dust 514 via the EVE connection, and by extension PS3 and Sony themselves.
Corporate America only sees $$$, and encouraging a suicide will probably not sit well with them methinks.

Understand, in truth I am not a Goon or Mittens WUV-er or BASH-er. To me they are an egotistical clique I'd like to smack on occassion but end up stuck waiting on a skill to train and enough income to afford the PVP losses. LOL. That's as far as it goes as they are Null Pandas while I delve into wormholes.
I might be biased in that as a rookie goal I decided I wanted to find and pod his ass one day. If he gets banned I can't do that. O.o
I don't personally want him banned from play (maybe kicked fro the CSM for the drama) but CCP is in a very difficult position from that alliance panel. For all the **** it was, it happened on a stage where they need to present their best image and that didn't happen. Read the reports at Massively and Joystick. They are already having an internal review and are looking at ways to vet future panels. They had to cut the recast stream to protect advertiser dollars and now are having to field articles from a lot of places...
This isn't good for them at all and Mittens future is being decided bebhind closed doors by higher ups at CCP. They will have to do what is best for them to protect the the game's public image in an age where bullying is being stomped on both verbal and physical for a game that encourages both in its confines. Here it fell into a real life situation. It sucks for everyone, you and me too. Last thng CCP needs is for their game to be seen as the new 70's/80's D&D in the eyes of the modern mainstream press. |

As the fan base for DUST 514 is so small to begin with that the game will be free to play and a lot of these people will be Goonswarm members. If they Ban The Mittani they run the risk of loosing those players to DUST 514. Any Spelling, gramatical and literary errors made by me are included free of charge. |
