Do any of you guy's remember when space was Huge? Do you remember the day's when you could fly through 20 0.0 systems in a row and not see another piolet?
What about that far away system that only you went to?

Actually I like the game both ways. It was fun to feel like you were the first and only one there but its also fun to fly into a system full of people so that u can get to know them.

Kind of but I do feel sorry for the new guys who've never known what 'space' actually feels like. Would be nice to have some expanse where a few people with no life can't POS spam and camp 24/7. /start sig I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game four years' when I know their account has been sold on. /end sig |

War, pod pilots that live forever due cloning and there's no "culling" of POD pilots by death, all contribute to the fact that we grow and do not diminish. Sure, space used to be a big, cold, lonely place. But it used to be a big, cold lonely place.

I remember them. And, while it was fun in some ways, what we have now in a crowded Universe isn't no fun - it's just a different kind of fun, in different ways. ________________________________________________

Space still is huge, doing anything around 20 jumps bores the crap out of me. As for seeing people, the most I'll see in local is about 13, unless I'm having to refuel my POS.
I remember hanging out in low sec more often and going to some obscure places. Actually, there are still high sec systems you can got to where there is no-one around, it's kinda dull there.

The problem with history is its so easy to think everything was better "in the good ole' days". The fact is many of the people who joins EVE these days would have stood gaping over a lot of things in EVE which they takes for granted today present time. The game was fantastic those days too, but its not to hide under a chair that it certainly had its lacks.
If we are to be objective the space is LARGER TODAY! This because many many new regions have been added after the Beta! Its just the increase of new players that makes it look smaller. Personally I hope they will add way more regions too. From Highsec, lowsec to deepspace!

Do you remember the days when you could go out and post a thread talking about how 1337 you are just because you've been playing longer than some people?
Pepperidge farm remembers.

I'd love to go back to that. I should start my own Eve server and play on it all by myself. I can program intelligent AI characters that will be more fun to be around than Eve's inhabitants, I have no doubt.

Heck, I've done that from the edges of Zero sec all the way back to High sec and only seen three people on the way and they were rats!
Its the thrill of who MAY be waiting at any one gate (or on the other side) that is the thrilling part in this game!) Regards,
